Toxic Shock Apparel couldn’t have a more fitting name. Loud and edgy, Toxic Shock mixes punk rock with glam rock, eighties flashiness with rockabilly.
Toxic creator, Stef Toxic first got into fashion through designing costumes for her ballet recitals. She would cover her tutu’s in crazy embellishments, or steal her mother’s table clothes, cut holes in them and make dresses. She was constantly getting kicked out of high school for the eccentric outfits she would make and wear, such as vintage silk/lace slips that she’d hand dye and sew with sequins and other embellishments, over long skirts with ratty thrift store cardigans. Then punk rock found its way to her heart and reflected in her clothing, with reconstruction and studs taking over her wardrobe.
