Halloween Haunts '08 Part 5 - HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Howdy there, just wanted to wish everybody a Happy Halloween! It’s my favorite day of the year, and I’m celebrating by watching the original HALLOWEEN and HALLOWEEN III: SEASON OF THE WITCH, drinking Pumpkin Beer, dressing as the great metal singer King Diamond, and going to the NYC Halloween Parade tonight! I’ve had a blast celebrating Halloween for the last month and a half by going to haunts every weekend, and I’m really sad that it’s soon coming to an end but so excited that Halloween’s on a Friday and I get to celebrate the whole weekend!

HALLOWEEN HAUNTS 2008 Part 4: Bates Motel and Field of Screams

Hey there fellow Halloweenies! Well, it’s almost our favorite day of the year! I’m excited but, also a little bummed that it will be over soon. I wish Halloween Haunts could be open year round! A lot of people have asked me why I’m mostly visiting haunts on the East Coast this year. Well, first off there are tons of amazing haunts on the East Coast and fortunately, I live in New York City in pretty close proximity to a lot of legendary haunts. Last year, I was able to afford traveling around the country a bit more to visit haunts in New Orleans and Colorado. But unfortunately, with the state of our economy and high flight prices, I’m going to have to put off visiting some of the haunts that I really want to see till next year.

Trail of Terror and The Haunted Graveyard

This past Saturday I had the pleasure of visiting two haunts that I’ve never been to before in Connecticut. The first one is called Trail of Terror and it’s located in Wallingford, CT. I was excited as soon as we got to Trail of Terror because it’s located in a heavily wooded area and I could hear screams and horrifying noises coming from deep in the woods as soon as we arrived! We walked a short way down a desolate road and soon reached the entrance. I could not believe how many people were in line! It’s one of the largest groups of people I’ve ever seen at a haunt. Luckily my buddy had purchased advanced Speed Pass tickets online, which cut our wait time by hours! I highly suggest purchasing these tickets unless you don’t mind waiting in line for a while.

Halloween Haunts '08: Part 1: The Beast, Terror Behind the Walls, Headless Horseman Hayride

Hey Everybody, it’s finally that time of year again, Halloween season!!!! I actually started my Halloween Haunt visiting very early this year, in August to be exact! The haunts seem to open earlier every year, which is just fine by me, I start celebrating Halloween season in July! I went to my first haunted houses of the 2008 season the last weekend in August in Kansas City. I want to thank my friend Colleen and all the people from The Beast, The Edge of Hell, Macabre Cinema and The Chambers of Edgar Allan Poe for such an amazing time! My friend and I were the first two people to walk through The Beast haunted house in the 2008 season! I’m so psyched about that because The Beast is one of my favorite haunted houses. The werewolf forest is one of the scariest things ever!
