One of the most memorable aspects of the much-loved (by both critics and fans) but sadly underseen DRAG ME TO HELL is the ending of Sam Raimi’s supernatural thriller (SPOILER ALERT: that conclusion will be discussed heavily in this piece, with photos from the sequence—so if you haven’t seen the film yet, read no further). Even if you see it coming, as some people have claimed to, it’s a hell of a note to end on, and has sent audiences out buzzing.
Ahhh, the clash of 1980’s slasher throwbacks! Both HATCHET and THE TRIPPER are silly, campy potential classics that most either love, or completely hate. I myself fit into the former category. Neither picture can lay claim to technical mastery, but I find both features to be extremely entertaining, humorous and accurate in their homage. If you dig those wonderfully terrible slasher flicks that (thankfully) flooded the market throughout the 1980’s, you may very well get a kick out of both of these films.

Wow, we are really early. Myself and fellow Fango writer Ben Smith headed out to Williamsburg in Brooklyn for the bi-annual
