Joely Carey moves to Fabulous as deputy editor

Joely Carey, the former acting editor at Love It, has joined the News of the World's Fabulous magazine.

Carey, who was Love It's deputy editor until last month, edited the title in 2008 during founding editor Karen Pasquali Jones's maternity leave.

She has also worked for the Daily Mail's Femail section, Pick Me Up and That's Life.

Carey said: "Fabulous magazine has established itself as the market-leading women's weekly in a very short time and I'm delighted to be part of such a vibrant and creative team."

News of the World deputy editor and editorial director of Fabulous Jane Johnson said: "Joely is a brilliant addition to the talented Fabulous team.

"She brings with her a wealth of ideas and expertise, and - along with our editor Sally Eyden - will take Fabulous onto even bigger and better things."

Last week, Fabulous promoted associate editor Rachel Richardson to executive editor.
