More young actors join NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET remake

nightmareremake3castthumbAccording to The Hollywood Reporter, a trio of young actors have been added to the ensemble of the NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET remake being produced by Platinum Dunes for release by New Line Cinema/Warner Bros. They'll join previously announced Jackie Earle Haley, taking over for Robert Englund as dream slayer Freddy Krueger, and THE HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT's Kyle Gallner, in the role played in Wes Craven's original by Johnny Depp.

Kyle Gallner moves from CONNECTICUT to ELM STREET

The most haunted male in all of Connecticut just made Freddy Krueger's nightmarish short list. 

Kyle Gallner, currently creeping moviegoers out with THE HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT, has been cast in the upcoming New Line/Platinum Dunes remake of A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET.

NIGHTMARE finds it's FREDDY...

FREDDY!Confirming rumors that have been swirling for months, The Hollywood Reporter's Risky Business Blog is reporting that Jackie Earle Haley (WATCHMEN) is the new Freddy Krueger.

Last month we shared a video with you (see it here) where Haley had a pretty interesting reaction when asked if he'd be donning the brown fedora, and now the deal is done.
