Debbie Rochon hails from Vancouver B.C. Canada where she began her film career at age 13. She worked for 3 months on the Paramount Pictures film “Ladies and Gentlemen: The Fabulous Stains!” By 17 she moved to New York City to study acting.Working her way up through the ranks in independent horror movies, Debbie started in under five roles and graduated to leading lady status. To date she has been in over 130 films and has garnered awards for her work including Best Female Psycho Award for her work in “American Nightmare”, Best Supporting Actress in “Screech of the Decapitated” Best Actress in a Comedy for “Dr. Horror’s Erotic House of Idiots” and she won Scream Queen of the Decade Award (1990 to present) from Draculina Magazine (2003) in a readers poll.
She was inducted into the B-Movie Hall of Fame in 2004. Debbie has also written for horror movie publications world wide including Horror Maniacs in Italy, GoreZone in the UK, Cinema Fantastique in France and Videoscope, Sirens of Cinema, Femme fatales, Scream Queens Illustrated, Steppin Out and Alternative Cinema magazines in the US. She has co-written two books The B-Movie Survival Guide and Attack of the B-Queens. Her radio experience started with WBAI in NYC where she co-hosted a show on pop culture called Oblique Strategies from 1994-1996.
Her next foray into radio was a two year stint with her show Lurid Details for Pseudo Radio owned by Jupiter Communications starting in 1996. In 1999 she began a 2 year stint co-hosting a radio show that focused on film as well as producing 3 other talk radio shows for the station Eyada.
