Indie director Alan Rowe Kelly has been in touch with FANGO during this weekend’s Chicago convention to speak about his remake of 1973’s infamous “video nasty” DON’T LOOK IN THE BASEMENT. “We are hoping to get it all off the ground at the end of the year,” states Kelly – who admits to being a big fan of the original movie.

Speaking to FANGO at the Chicago convention this weekend Italian genre legend Ruggero Deodato has revealed that he plans to return to terror but – at least initially – it might not be with his much-mooted CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST follow-up (dubbed simply CANNIBALS).

WildClaw Theatre, Chicago’s leading horror stage troupe, will bring their brand of terror and the supernatural to the fast-approaching Chicago edition of FANGORIA’s Weekend of Horrors, to be held March 6-8 at the Wyndham Chicago O’Hare Hotel (6810 North Mannheim Road, Rosemont, IL). On Sunday of the event, the local horror theater stalwarts will discuss their previous shows, screen clips of their most outlandish work, answer questions, talk about their upcoming Zombie Bowling and zombie play, THE REVENANTS, then close out the convention with a round of “Scary-aoke,” where the audience will have the opportunity to act out scenes from their favorite horror flicks.

While we put the finishing touches on the schedule for the Midwest edition of FANGORIA’s Weekend of Horrors convention, which will be held March 6-8 (three monstrous days!) at the Wyndham Chicago O’Hare (6810 North Mannheim Road, Rosemont), here’s a look at the Fearsome Fango Film Show. The movie marathon will unspool in the NARITA A&B rooms. Several notable filmmakers will be introducing their movies, so expect surprises.

The Clive Barker-praised New York independent horror film VINDICATION will make its world premiere at the fast-approaching Chicago edition of FANGORIA’s Weekend of Horrors, to be held March 6-8 at the Wyndham Chicago O’Hare Hotel (6810 North Mannheim Road, Rosemont, IL).
