Prishtina-April 07, 2009

In a special meeting and rather productive that Minister Hyseni had on March 26, 2009 with the Ambassador of Gambian Republic to the UN, Mrs. Susan Waffa-Ogoo, the latter had expected and promised, at the same time, the quick recognition of the independence of Kosovo by the her country’s Government.

This promise has been realized and the Republic of Gambia has recognized the independence of Kosovo. The decision for the recognition of Kosovo has been made clear, today, to Kosovo Embassy in Washington by Gambian Embassy in Washington, too.
The Republic of Gambia is the 57th country to recognize Kosovo.
