Unlike a typical retail store, Just Creations is a not-for-profit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. An Executive Director manages shop operations along with a small team of paid employees. However, you may notice that most of the staffing and support work for Just Creations is accomplished by more than 30 volunteers.
Just Creations purchases exclusively from Fair Trade Organizations such as Ten Thousand Villages , A Greater Gift (formerly SERRV International) and Equal Exchange . These groups work directly with artisans and farmers to ensure that Fair Trade principles are practiced.
Store hours: Monday - Saturday, 10am - 6pm.

Chocolate Mint Brownies submitted by Maggie Jezreel
Chocolate Syrup (make ahead of time):
½ cup Equal Exchange Organic & Fairly Traded baking cocoa
1 c sugar
1 dash salt
1 c water
1 t vanilla
Combine cocoa, sugar and salt in a medium saucepan. Add water, mixing thoroughly. Bring to a boil and boil for 3 minutes, careful not to let mixture boil over. Remove from heat and cool slightly. Add vanilla. Let cool completely.
Brownies:
1 cup flour
½ c butter, softened
½ t salt
4 eggs
1 t vanilla
Chocolate syrup
1 c sugar
Combine the all ingredients in large mixing bowl. Beat for 3 minutes. Pour batter into a greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool completely.
Filling:
2 c powdered sugar
½ cup butter
1 T water
½ t mint extract
3 drops green food coloring (optional)
Combine all ingredients in medium mixing bowl and beat until creamy. Spread over cooled brownies. Refrigerate until set.
Topping:
2 bars of Divine Mint Dark Chocolate (3.5 oz size)
6 T. butter
Melt chocolate & butter over low heat in a small saucepan. Cool for 20 minutes and spread over filling. Chill before cutting. Store in refrigerator. Makes 4-5 dozen.
