Last week Green Day announced the dates for their massive summer tour supporting May 15th’s 21st Century Breakdown, and now the band has confirmed the venues they’ll be hitting on their 38-date journey across the U.S. and Canada. As Rock Daily reported, the band will be playing indoor arenas rather than amphitheatres. The trek starts July 3rd at Seattle’s Key Arena and ends August 25th at Los Angeles’ Forum. Green Day have not booked any festival dates.

Keep an eye out for Rolling Stone’s review of 21st Century Breakdown in our new issue, hitting newsstands tomorrow and get a sense of what the new Green Day live experience might look like in David Fricke’s report from one of the band’s Bay Area warm-up gigs, where they debuted the full punk opera with their six-piece band — Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt and drummer Tre Cool with guitarist Jason White, keyboardist Jason Freese and guitarist Jeff Matika (see photos from the gig here). Check out all the band’s tour dates (with venues) after the jump.

Looks like Green Day will be one of the last acts at Philly’s Spectrum before it’s knocked down. Should be a great show.
