Probably saying they are using a surrogate is the best cover-up they could use instead of really saying he knocked up the chick he had an affair with last year. Timing from affair to delivery seems too close for comfort.

i understand modern technology makes it possible to have children well into "old age" but that doesnt mean it should be done. i am so sick and tired of the rich and famous flauting the biological laws that decide for us whether or not we can have children. i am 35 and my husband and i went through the gamit of infertility procedures to no avail and decided to adopt because it was obvious my body didnt want to be pregnant. sjp is 44! does she realize her and her husband will be looking for retirement homes when her twins graduate from high school. and what about the girls...its not easy having a parent that is a lot older than the parents of your peers. then again money can fix anything, right.

How exactly do you know she is able to tolerate pregnancy? I am young and healthy but my body did NOT tolerate pregnancy well at all so I have ONE child. I would love to have another via adoption or surrogate or whatever but do not have the financial resources at this time. I think it's fantastic she has the financial resources to use a surrogate and say a huge congrats to them!!!

I remember back when she was pregnant with their son James Wilkie and her idiot husband made a crack about how she'd gained weight and was getting "fat". Matthew Broderick is a jerk--and wasn't he caught cheating a few months ago? Congrats on the upcoming birth of the twin girls, though I hope SJP will show a good example to them when they are older and not put up with any more of her husband's nonsense. Ugh I can't stand him!!!

How is it that every celebrity these days are having twins, then they refuse to say they had help. I can understand them b/c w/ a surrogate you have to implant embryos, but other celebs...(jen lopez, brad/angie, etc...) deny help getting pregnant. Twins do not happen all that often by themselves....+

11:47 - I got pregnant unexpectedly at 41, and was 42 when my youngest was born. There is 19 years between him and his sister. When he is 18, I will be 60. I actually will qualify for "senior housing" when he is 7.

Having said that, I am a FAR more patient parent now than I was in my 20's. I am also a lot more financially secure, and there are no worries at all about providing for his education and all of the other expenses of raising a child.

Yes, I will be an older parent than average to my son when he is a teenager. But I could also have walked out the door at age 25 and been hit by a bus. I expect - given my health and that of my family members - to live well into my 80's - hopefully to 90 or above. So kudos to SJP. Age isn't a barrier to love.

This is the 21st century, with life expectancy numbers higher than they have ever been. I would say that the twins will enjoy a life of which most kids would be envious. I loved my dad when he was 70, and my mom at 80...numbers are numbers, and people are so much more than numbers. I don't know that SJP and MB are great parents; but, you don't know that they aren't.

Yeah and you have no clue, that they are bad parents!!! All i see is heaps of pics of either SJP or MB walking around NYC and taking kid to school and looking like every-one else!!! Oh Well Haters what can you do!!!!!!!
