ne of the more creative options found in EA Sports’ NCAA Football games has always been the create-a-team function, and now NCAA Football 10 aims to make this mode even better with TeamBuilder, which will allow gamers freedom to upload logos and customize their teams straight from their PC or Mac browser.
TeamBuilder is a Web-based create-a-school feature that allows anyone with Internet access to log on to teambuilder.easports.com and create and share teams with the rest of the NCAA Football 10 community. One can import a logo from his or her computer and even pull specific colors from this image to ensure uniforms identically match logo colors, among other new customization options that can be saved and searched online.
TeamBuilder customizations include:
• Logo
• Stadium
• Field
• Uniform
• Program
• Roster
• Search & Share
• Web Search
• Console: Search & Download
• Web Preview
Created schools can be downloaded on Xbox 360 and PS3 and can be used in Play Now, Dynasty and Online Dynasty modes. When you purchase NCAA Football 10, you will receive a code that will unlock 12 slots to save created teams to your console hard drive. If you pre-order the game, you will receive a code for an additional 13 slots.
TeamBuilder.EASports.com will go live approximately one month before the July 14th launch of NCAA Football 10, according to IGN.
With what sounds to be the most robust create-a-team function in any football game to date (although, where’s my option to import my own band theme!?), NCAA Football 10 may be taking serious strides towards bettering its sister game, Madden. When TeamBuilder finally arrives, expect tons of high school, XFL and zany, off-the-wall teams being created. We can’t wait.
