NCAA Football 10 Cover Athletes Announced

lectronic Arts announced today the four cover athletes for NCAA Football 10, one for each platform the game will be available on. Here are the winners:

The Xbox 360 version will feature Michael Crabtree, former Texas Tech University student, and two-time recipient of the Biletnikoff and Paul Warfield Awards. Crabtree is one of the top NFL Draft prospects for 2009.

The Playstation 3 cover went to Brian Johnson, former quarterback for the University of Utah. Brian Johnson led the Utah Utes to victory 12 times during the 2008 season, and won the 2009 Sugar Bowl, giving the team a perfect 13-0 record for the year. Johnson was also named Most Outstanding Player in the 2009 Sugar Bowl.

The PSP version will showcase Mark Sanchez. Sanchez was the quarterback for the University of Southern California and led the Trojans to a near perfect 12-1 season. Sanchez was the Most Valuable Offensive Player in the 2009 Rose Bowl.

Finally, the Playstation 2 cover will feature Brian Orakpo, a former defensive end for the University of Texas, and winner of the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, the Ted Hendricks Award and the Lombardi Award. Orakpo was also selected as a first-team All-American in 2008, and was named the Associated Press Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year.

Not a bad lineup! NCAA Football 10 will introduce a new TeamBuilder mode, Season Showdown mode, and the ability to upload your own logo—as well as customization options for uniforms, fields, and rosters. All four versions of the game will go on sale July 14th.
