JEFF VESPA, LIFE.com's editor at large, is an artist, celebrity photographer, and co-founder of the photography agency WireImage. The official photographer for the Sundance and Toronto film festivals, Vespa's photos appear regularly in Vanity Fair, Vogue, Time, People, Rolling Stone, and the New York Times. In 2008, Vespa directed Nosebleed, a short film starring David Arquette that had its international premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.


BARBARA BAKER BURROWS is the director of photography for LIFE Books, and has had an association with the brand for more than 40 years. During that time, she assigned and coordinated the magazine's photography for major events, including Apollo space missions, politics, and the Olympics. Among the books she has edited are the New York Times No. 1 best seller One Nation: America Remembers September 11, 2001, and the photographic biography The American Journey of Barack Obama. Burrows is also co-author of the recent National Geographic book The Kennedy Mystique.


ARNOLD HORTON, LIFE's photo archivist, can remember reading issues of LIFE at the barbershop when he was a child. He has worked at the Time Inc. Picture Collection for over 25 years. Among his memorable moments: assisting the photo editors of The Great LIFE Photographers, a 2004 book curating iconic images shot by Alfred Eisenstaedt, Margaret Bourke-White, Gordon Parks, and others.
