Blog > Developer Blog: Leipzig Games Convention ’08 Recap!
Well we’re finally back from Leipzig, Germany, and all caught up on sleep. It was a long and busy week, but boy was it a blast! I wanted to take the time to sort of wrap up the events that went down, and fill you in on what’s to come.

This year, the Games Convention broke records. With over 203,000 attendees in total, and upwards of 85,000 in a single day at its peak, we were proud to have been a part of it.

Another thing to be proud of was the Quantum of Solace booth; or in German, “Ein Quantum Trost!” Our booth had some of the coolest props from the films. These were authentic props, the exact same ones you see on the big screen. From the knife that Daniel Craig uses to shank Dimitrios in Casino Royale, to the infamous rope used in the torture scene… Oh, and did I mention, the actual 2006 Aston Martin DBS!!!

We were showing off a couple sequences from our singleplayer campaign; more specifically, 2 levels from the nee Quantum of Solace movie due out later this year. The first, a level that takes place in a cistern in Sienna, and the 2nd level was a chase scene on the rooftops in the streets of Sienna.

Now aside from having one of the best games of the show in our booth, there may have been other contributing factors to our long line of players waiting to see the game… A James Bond booth wouldn’t be complete without booth babes, would it? So we partnered with Coke Zero and had a couple hotties outside taking pictures with fans, and printing them out for free. So I’ve attached a sample I took, specifically for reference use only of course! Just doing my job =).

The fans picked up the cover combat controls instantly, and loved our hybrid first-person third-person control schemes. Everybody was of course raving for some Multiplayer action, which we unfortunately were not quite ready to unveil at the show; but we promise to have more details on our MP later in the year!

Thanks goes out to Leipzig for hosting an excellent convention, and to all the fans who came out to see the game!
