Top 25 Worst Comic Book Video Games

1. Superman 64 (Nintendo 64)

Superman 64 will forever be known as the kryptonite of the game industry. It's just so pitifully awful on so many levels, we don't even know where to begin. Unresponsive flying controls, horrendous graphics, atrocious audio and lame missions (let's fly through some more rings) had us ready to chuck the cartridge into a wall. For shame, Superman.–Robert Workman

Oh.. and any game that pits DC super heroes versus anything give it themselves or Mortal Combatants, are just plain dumb. I remember playing Justice League and wondered why Super Man could be beaten up. Super Man is the cryptonite to the gaming industry. He died out with the 50s lets bring on the spiderman games which are probably the best ever comic games.

Lets face it the original TMNT and X-Men games were terrible, if any of you were arcade goers at that time you would remember rushing to your local game store in hopes of getting the game on nintendo, just to find that the really awesome versions of the games you played at the arcade were nothing like their NES counter parts. Any for any of you going "well duh its going to be a different game". I was like 8 at the time and oblivious to that fact. When in turn the first TMNT and X-Men games on NES were hard to play and not even fun.

I'm profoundly happy that I missed out on Superman 64. I don't know of a single person who said it was even halfway decent. :/

You forgot to put on DC Comics VS. Mortal Combat. Seriously? Pathetic....

people!! OBVIOUSLY the graphics and gameplay are compared with other games from same consoles, except port from NES to genesis batman game, and guess what, the 16 bit SUCKED compared with the 8 bit... also, batman forever SUCKED in that time too, really bad design, the characters looked like green dolls, batman moved like he had a stick on his arse, and if you floated on the circus tent stage, you can fall on the middle of the stage, even with solid floor, batman animated and death and return of superman were so much better games than that crap, god! even batman returns that was earlier was better!! and face it, TMNT for NES sucked bad, also for gameboy, TMNT 2 and 3 were way more better, and SNES turtles in time was godly, so please, learn to read and the meaning of the word BIASED

You can't call a 20 year old game awful. The original TMNT game for NES was great, not good but great, for its time. If you compare it to even the worst of this generation of course its bad, thats a stupid statement.

You're kidding me, right? Turok Evolution was great. These guys at GameDaily are just dumbasses who use the same excuse over and over. ''the graphics sux0r lolol'' ''omg these controlz suck!'' ''wow cheap death wtfwtf''

@ Conner 998 "I disagree with some games on here. Batman Forever, for just one example. The graphics were great for it's time, it had good level design (you get "lost" if you're a noob), and I loved the gameplay. It had multiple gadgets that made the game interesting, and it was challenging without being extremely difficult. There were many features that were great for its time, like the battle simulator. This review is EXTREMELY BIASED. Find a better writer that doesn't give the same 3 reasons why he doesn't like every pre-2008 game. "Oh, the graphics are lame. The gameplay is old. The controls are so bad you can't even shoot/punch/aim. Hur hur hur."" That's the truth, cause this man just described almost every article this site ever spewed out.

I think the problem with Superman is... How do you make a game about arguably the most powerful superhero of all time interesting?

  • dupont24fan1989 on 3/11/2009 2:11 am

I think Superman sent his mentally retarded cousin StupidMan to appear in the video games. That's the only way to explain their awfulness.
