Nukvah
d'Ze'ir Anpin Nukvah d'Ze'ir Anpin is the partzuf which develops from the initial point of the sefirah of malchut in the world of Atzilut. Nukvah d'Ze'ir Anpin receives Divine energy through the mediation of its male counterpart, Ze'ir Anpin. In the soul, Nukvah d'Ze'ir Anpin corresponds to all the various forms of self expression, primarily the power of speech. For this reason, Nukvah d'Ze'ir Anpin is referred to as "the world of speech" (or, in general, "the revealed world"). While the six initial sefirot of Ze'ir Anpin require the "completion" of the three mental powers, Nukvah d'Ze'ir Anpin possesses initially one point alone (the keter of malchut), and so requires the "completion" of nine additional sefirot. The extent to which these nine additional appear and shine in the partzuf Nukvah d'Ze'ir Anpin is dependant upon the deeds of mortals. In the "intentions" (kavanot) of Kabbalah, the union of Ze'ir Anpin and Nukvah d'Ze'ir Anpin is referred to as the union of Kudsha Brich Hu u'Shichintai, "the Holy One Blessed Be He and His Divine Presence." It is explained in Chassidut that all of the lights, worlds and partzufim, from God's very Essence (Atzmut) until Ze'ir Anpin, all find their consummate point of concentration in the partzuf Ze'ir Anpin. For this reason Ze'ir Anpin may be referred to as "the Holy One Blessed Be He." Likewise all of the Divine light which shines in the lower worlds is all concentrated in the partzuf Nukvah d'Ze'ir Anpin, "His Divine Presence." The union (zivug) of Ze'ir Anpin and Nukvah d'Ze'ir Anpin is thus the ultimate "meeting point" and union of God and Creation. The general partzuf Nukvah d'Ze'ir Anpin divides into two particular partzufim, partzuf Leah and partzuf Rachel, the two wives of Jacob (the third and fourth matriarchs), which will now be explained in detail.
