The loans described in this article, as well as the corruption, were made before Bobby Jindal was even elected Governor of Louisiana (and well before he was actually sworn in), back when the State was under the the control of another political party that had their "...certain ways 'o doin' things". Far from being naive, Mr. Jindal's administration has actually done a remarkable job of trying to clean things up, and he's had significant success working with folks from both sides of the aisle to really do some good in that state. Perhaps this author shouldn't rely on stale research and his own political bias when writing in a business forum like this....

The publication that broke this story on yelp has been a well respected newspaper in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1978. Real reporters worked on this story and business owners with direct experience with yelp are quoted. Far from a big foot story.

Excellent job of framing the issues Mr. Girard. I am an advocate of Consumer Driven Health and personal responsibility which, tends to fly, somewhat in the face of the Public/Private solution offered in Mr. Obama's campaign and in the face of the recent spending plan. That being said, if the stick is used in a way as to hold all stakeholders accountable at every level, the health care debate could be productive. www.hsaeducator.com ...
