The Viking War Metal Gods, Amon Amarth, have just reissued their classic 1997 album ONCE SENT FROM THE GOLDEN HALL in a new bonus edition package featuring a completely re-mastered version of the original disc, and a bonus disc of the 8 featured tracks performed live.

The five piece death metal war machine known as Amon Amarth has been devastating stages all over Europe and the United States for well over 13 years now. Fronted by the Swedish, blond giant Johan Hegg, Amon Amarth keeps their music and imagery very close to their Nordic ancestry by brandishing the Mjöllnir (otherwise known as the Thor’s Hammer) on a lot of their merchandise, and by writing lyrics about the life and death of Vikings and Norse Mythology. ONCE SENT FROM THE GOLDEN HALL features many of their well-known Viking Metal tunes such as the “Ride For Vengeance”, their glorious theme song "Amon Amarth”, and a special bonus rendition of the pounding anthem "Victorious March", remixed and presented in it’s native tongue as “Siegreicher Marsch”. The bonus disc features the 8 tracks of ONCE SENT FROM THE GOLDEN HALL performed live in 2008, and played in sequence for an audience of hundreds of fans who can be heard chanting along to the victorious music of these Nordic Gods. The new packaging comes in a cool pop-up style format (see below) and the total running time for both discs is an epic 97:46 minutes in length!
