Kenny Rogers' next album pairs him up with an old friend. The country-pop icon has announced that he'll duet with Dolly Parton on the new project.
"Dolly and I have had great success," he says, "It's been a long time since we've done something together, so it should have some commercial viability."
Rogers, who has been in music for 50 years, says there is a freedom that comes with being around that long. The three-time Grammy winner says he is now able to record the songs that he wants to, without answering to anyone else.

There's a new twist to ABC's 'Dancing with the Stars' this season. One of the couples really is a couple -- Julianne Hough and Chuck Wicks. In fact, fans of Hough should send Wicks a thank-you note, because it was after he came onboard as a contestant that she decided to do this season of the popular television show.
"I had already announced that I wasn't going to do this season, and then they asked Chuck to do the show," the two-time 'Dancing' winner explains. "A couple weeks later they called and asked me if I would be willing to dance with him."

Faith Hill, Mariah Carey, Gwen Stefani and Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz are among the artists auctioning off autographed iPod Nanos packed with eight gigabytes of their favorite music.
Bidding on the custom-filled players is currently underway at eBay, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting Music Rising. The non-profit organization supports Gulf Coast schools, churches and communities in rebuilding music programs and replacing instruments lost or damaged in Hurricane Katrina.
