And I thought the multiplayer beta I was in 3 months ago was great, the single player is going to be killer!
I never understood the hate for CG vs. Real-time anyways. It was like this since the PS1 days. Why hate on a good thing? Regardless of whether it was real-time or not? Alot of movies uses CG Special effects, but was masked to look real. I don't see movie goers complaining.
I mean the whole planet earth rendered in real time 3d graphics?
Why how and NO not yet. Maybe in 10 years or when the secret military geforce 15Billion ZX20 is released who can render this. LOL

Listen to the latest IGN podcast they talk about it. Obviously the planet part looks CGI but 'everything else is in-engine'. It's not real-time, but does it really matter? It's a cinematic, there is no need for it to be real-time. But being in-engine by itself makes it an astonishing achievement. I don't know why people are arguing whether or not it's real-time as if it makes it deficient somehow if it isn't. That said, to my knowledge all other in-game cutscenes are real-time.

exactly. its just like the gears2 cutscenes that obviously look better than the game and have huge scale but are still using the in-game engine
