Mark Jonathan Harris is a three-time Academy Award winner The Redwoods, a film he wrote and co-produced, won an Oscar for Best Short Documentary (1968); The Long Way Home, a film he wrote and directed, won the Oscar for Best Feature Length Documentary (1997); and Into the Arms of Strangers: The Story of the Kindertransport (his most recent book) a film he co-directed with Deborah Oppenheiner, won Oscar for Best Feature Length Documentary (2001). He is a professor and former chair of the Production Department of the USC School of Cinema/Television, a journalist, and the author of five award-winning children's novels. |
