Top 25 Nintendo Moments

21. Link's Return to Maturity (The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess/GameCube and Wii)

Some people prefer the super-deformed Link in The Wind Waker, but much of the gaming community hungered for a more "mature" Zelda adventure. At Nintendo's E3 2005 presentation, Nintendo revealed in-game footage that confirmed the series' return to prominence. The trailer was a monumental surprise, but Nintendo sweetened the deal by bringing out Shigeru Miyamoto, sword and shield in hand, to drive the point home. Zelda was back.

You take down the AT-AT with the cable in Rogue Squadron as well. It's just as fun!

When I made a blind leap in the dark (urged by Nintendo Power) buying Metroid Prime in the fall of 2004, I too thought that it would probably suck. Just another waste of 20 bucks. I put the game in the Cube and BLAMMO!!!!!!!!!!!!! It transports me to a galaxy far, far away from which I will never, ever return. God bless Retro Studios!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, the list is alright, but you got A LOT of basic information wrong any gamer who actually played during this time would know. As already mentioned: Ganondorf is not Ganon Mario? 3-2? Sorry, but to get that wrong you've had to been either high and/or wasted when you wrote the list or one of them. It's 3-1. Check your old Nintendo Powers for published proof. Super Mario Kart. It was on the SNES WITHOUT said spiked shell. Which, more than anything, shows the time you got into gaming. It would have been a red shell, and if you've played those old versions you know how it acted differently then too. I'm sure there's more I'm missing, and I'm pretty sure other commenters already got them. Good attempt, but you got some very basic things wrong anyone truly of these old eras would know.

I don't want to nitpick, but wasn't it just "Ganon" and not "Ganondorf" back in the days of early Zelda? 2 different villains, really...
