The best RTS in a long time
My whole life, ive loved RTS games. Just mention being able to control hundreds of units in a big battle makes me giggle like a school girl. Dawn of War is truly amazing, the graphics are top notch. The level of freedom is astounishing, every squad, vehicle, buildding, and character can be upgaded with special powers, weapons, and sergants. so a basic unit squad could be able to take down some advanced charecters. And one of the coolest features is the army painter. you can take a unit from any race and custimize them with colors, logos, and banners. So if your a fan of RTS, action, or just violence, you definatly get this game.

Dawn of War
Dawn of war was a good game for a while. I played this game for a couple of weeks and was happy but after a while I got bored with the limited number of units and buildings that I could choose from. The Campaign was very easy and the skirmishes got old. Im hoping that the new expansions packs will prove to be more complicated and much more entertaining.

Jesus take the controller
Dawn of War for the PC, is not what you can call the top notch RTS game that people are looking for. Save for some fairly decent looking graphics for such a game in this genre. Most all the other elements have been seen in other such games. If you are new to real time startegy games, this is not the worst one to pick up out of a pile although. It has a fairly engrossing storyline, with some fairly fast paced action. This game will start to feel like another "man this is way to long, and for what" feeling after a while, I give this game a 3 out of 5.

Kill all the freaking ocrs DAMN!T
This is one of those milestone blocks on the road of Massive scale battle games, like the Lord of The Ring: Battle For Middle Earth, and i like all the gore you can get in one of these kind of games, only the Chaos Maines could have more of the bloodiest, and blood thirstiest, like cut off a Ocrs head all drink the blood that comes out of it, it is the best battle front killing, you get in my way you are all dead, DIE MOTHER FLUKING AS5HOLE, there is Now its back to killing out

Eye Candy and Lots of Battles
I think that DoW is a nice rts quick fix for those burnt out on Frozen Throne and Starcraft. Many of the major complaints that people had with the WC3/TFT model have been addressed it seems, in one way or another. Warcraft Complaint #1: "There are too many units to control, and too many buildings to manage" While I like that aspect of wc3, it makes for a very high lurning curve, along with a fair investment before you can jump on Battle Net and start having a chance. -- DoW Solution -- Most of the units you will control are sqad based. Click on a single unit and it selects the entire squad. You can still control heros, vehicles and worker types individually, so not all of the battles involve point and click fighting. Relic has come up with a winner in terms of resource management. In a way, you collect resources with your battle squad -- far away from your base. It is a depature from the typical builder/harvester that collect resources from inside the defenses of your base. In DoW, you must go out and scrap over resources from the very beginning, and don't worry about your base management, there is only like 4 buildings to build total in a normal match. It is a nice change from the formulaic build your base -- go fight NPCs for most of the game - finally have a single battle with your opponent - somone loses that 1 battle and gives up.
