Half-Life 2. By taking the suspense, challenge and visceral charge of the original, and adding startling new realism and responsiveness, Half-Life 2 opens the door to a world where the player's presence affects everything around him, from the physical environment to the behaviors -- even the emotions -- of both friends and enemies. The player again picks up the crowbar of research scientist Gordon Freeman, who finds himself on an alien-infested Earth being picked to the bone, its resources depleted, its populace dwindling. Freeman is thrust into the unenviable role of rescuing the world from the wrong he unleashed back at Black Mesa. And a lot of people -- people he cares about -- are counting on him.

This is one of the best games I ever played. It will be one of the best games you'll ever play. It's easy to follow the story and has almost every type of game.(puzzle, action, sci-fi, and, dahhhhhhhhhh, shooter)

Hello Mr. Freeman. I hope you enjoy the review

This game won more game of the year awards than I can count, and for good reason too; the game is great. It is a truly inept first person experience due to the unique characters and their detailed facial expressions, the suspenseful, scary, and intense action, the atmosphere that makes you feel exactly like the folks at Valve wanted-everything has polish, and detail . There isn't anything mind blowingly innovating about the game, but everything it sets out to do is done fantastically. I was very captivated by the story, and loved the physics. I came for the FPSness, and stayed for one of the best PC games I've ever played.

Half Life 2

with constant suspense, shockers, and just plain scary moments, it made me jump out of my chair at least twenty times. although it has a relatively small range of weapons, it finds a multitude of ways to utilize the individual aspects of each one. although slightly shorthanded by the scarcity of boss fights, it was an overall great game.

Boring.

I might get totally flamed for this, but I don't really like Half-Life 2. You sometimes grab and drop items to make staircases and footstools, right? So why is it so hard for me to make the f&##'in barrel stand up?! Stupid physics. Why can't they make an option to flip the objects you carry like in Halo 3's Forge? It's also pretty annoying hearing Breen rant on and on about something that I can't even figure out. On the bright side, the Gravity Gun (which I only used in Ep. 1 and 2) is fun to use. Plus, you can swing at your ammo and health and it flies. They should do that more often. Half-Life 2 gets 3 crowbars out of 5.

Half-Life 2 - PC

Dissapointed

I was disappointed. While many people will disagree with me i lost interest to continue on quickly. The combine seemed incredibly unoriginal, were way too easy, and many of the characters and areas seemed tacked on, especially ravenholme and the vehicle segments. 3/5
