save me Link, save me...............

This game is FUN! I love how long the game is and how interesting the story is. I guess the only thing that I did not like about the game was that sometimes I was just like, "What the heck am I supposed to do now??" Sometimes this game was just so confusing I had to look up a walkthrough on ign.com. If I didn't use the walkthrough it would take me forever to figure out what to do. The feature I like best about this game was the feature that allowed you to hook up your GBA or GBA SP to the Gamecube and help the person point on things while your friend plays the Gamecube and you play your GBA.

An Astounding Success

With the first FEAR monolith made a great game, but it never reached it's true potential ( especially in the console versions) but it still was a scary game, with great action, interesting story, great AI,visual and sound effects, FEAR 2: Project Origin improves on the formula with amazing results.

From the first seconds playing this game i felt a huge different feel to the game, it's scarier, has a better choking atmosphere (has the honor of being one of the few games that has made me scream in fear) the action segments feel right and intense. Unlike the first you actually know what you are doing all the time thanks to the Intel items and the story does a good job of keeping you in the loop. The game's horror scenes range from creepy to downright terrifying, the visual and auditory hallucinations are done so well that some make you lose focus on what you're doing and make you mess with your eyes so you can see, it's that well implemented, and some of the horror sequences require you to rapidly tap a button so you don't get killed.

The environments this time around have more diversity to them, from a fancy hotel to a ruined city, secret labs and more. The game has some pretty good weapons ranging from your run of the mill assault rifles and sub machine guns, to the experimental guns, all of them look, feel and sound great. The slow mo feature is once again put to great use and the small details (like voices slowing down) are great, plus it looks great unleashing hell with the slow mo on. The mech segments are great and it's visually stunning seeing the world while on the mech. It also has some of the best scripted action sequences i have ever seen in a game. The AI is also more intelligent than before and more dynamic, like searching for water while jumping through windows and moving erratically trying to douse the flames, great stuff.

Graphics: the visual effects are some of the best I've seen, the lighting, the way the visor HUD is used (getting splashed with blood, water and even dust) the character models look well detailed, the physics are great, some of THE best ragdoll physics i have seen in my life though sometimes they would get stuck in the environment but it didn't bother me that much, and there's something about shooting a transformer on an electrical post and watching the way it blows up, eerily realistically. Though there were like two times were the frame rate stuttered. The visual hallucinations are made perfectly, they are THAT good. 4.75

Sound: great sound all around, weapon fire sounds great, along with the explosions, the auditory hallucinations are great too, and the music range from tense creepy music to augment the atmosphere to battle music with guitars which sound decent, but it's haunting score is clearly superior. debris crunching beneath your feet and items you toppled over make you turn around fearing that it was something else... classic. 5.0

Controls: the controls feel great, they just feel comfortable, the only quips i have about them is the placement of the slow mo button which requires you to do some fancy maneuvering to press it while firing and strafing, but otherwise quite good and precise, some of the best FPS controls i have used. 4.75

So after going through hell and back i came back more than satisfied, the fun intense action, the terrifying horror segments, the great scripted moments and the interesting and haunting story made the wait worthwhile, i consider this game one of the finest, most polished game i have ever played, and it's climax is up there with HL2 episode 2's climax, dare i say it? Best... cliffhanger.... yet. I hope monolith makes another one, or at least some sort of continuation to this one it ends so epically that all i could say was '' Oh... My... God...'' So if you enjoy first person shooter or horror games, you owe it to yourself to play this game.

F.E.A.R 2 better on the 360 AGAIN!!!!

Well having noticed that I didn't have alot of PS3 games I decided to get the PS3 version because it scored 3 points higher on metacritic, Well I was wrong its awful on the PS3 even with HDMI there is a blur when you look around fast aside from the haze that seems to constantly be on the screen no screen adjusting seems to make it go away. The audio is atrocious, everything sounds muffled and far away yet im running a optical cable for audio even in surround sound the screams of people 30 ft away or closer sound like 10 miles away.Obviously maybe PC game developers shouldn't make PS3 ports cause monolith can't seem to get it right since the first game was awful on the PS3, apparently the second joins that list of games that 360 has the better version of.If you own a 360 and a PS3 do yourself a favor buy the 360 the PS3 version is bad not unplayable but bad if you own both consoles.I believe condemned 2 was also full of audio issues and glitches on the PS3.Monolith stop with the PS3 ports you dont get them right people shouldn't have to pay 60 bucks for something that needs to be patched, not even sure if the fixed the issues with condemned 2 they just said to play it in low def.

Eh...

I fell in love with this game! It had Anime, Music and they turned it into a game? C'mon that is like my three favorite things wrapped into one bundle of kick ass fun! However, I thought this game was too short...9 levels? You serious? And the camera sucked as well, no first person view. But the action was so fun, i still love choppin the guys up! They better make a sequel!
