With a great premise and a good grading system, it keeps the player's interest for a decent amount of time; however, without an online multiplayer mode or a longer single player, it’s ultimately let itself down. The underlying concept of a transforming mushroom is fine, the puzzles are fun, and the platforming action is decent and challenging, but the overall presentation and control scheme are way below average, making Boing! Docomodake a mediocre game at best.

Boing! Docomodake has a very interesting concept. On paper that is. Too bad that the idea doesn't make a good game. The game itself lacks liveliness and creativeness and does an absolute minimum of what you expect. Sometimes you do have the think about a solution, but most of the time you'll instantely know what to do without even blinking your eyes.
