Bandai taps CE vet for toy post

CYPRESS, Calif.—Bandai America has appointed consumer electronics veteran Mark Schaffner to the role of Executive Vice President of Toys.
In this new position, Schaffner will oversee the company’s sales and marketing departments and report directly to Sho Omatsu, Bandai America’s president.
"Mark possesses the talent and vision required to strengthen the success of Bandai America and continue to build our brands," said Omatsu. "We are looking forward to him tapping into his consumer electronics expertise to help us expand our core strengths and product lines.”
Schaffner most recently managed global expansion, financial performance and new product development for Philips Electronics as vice president of global product development and marketing for its Accessory Division. Previously, Schaffner was president of Fiskars Brands’ Power Sentry division.
