Blurbs are important!
I see a lot of people creating blog posts and just throwing in a random word or two in to the Blurb box. DONT DO THAT. Blurbs are there to summarize what your post is about in one or two short sentences.
We use blurbs fairly extensively around the site. We search them for keywords. We display them on results pages, where displaying the full text of a post would take up way to much room. Do yourself a favor, if you want people to read what you are posting about, write out a decent blurb.
