February 20, 2009 - The Mobile World Congress (MWC) is the end-all, be-all of mobile technology summits. Every February, almost all of the world's largest mobile technology manufacturers appears at the convention to show off their latest, and presumably greatest products, technologies, and features. In addition to showing off products and services being implemented later this year, the show is also host a number of previews and announcements for future technologies, and this year was no different. Regrettably we weren't able to be on hand in beautiful Barcelona for the event, however, we have been keeping a close eye on all the latest from the show. To keep things brief and simple, we've compiled all of the biggest news from the show in one feature. Read below for all the big stories from the show. More »
February 19, 2009 - Earlier this year at CES 2009, we got a chance to see Nyko's latest line of Wii accessories first hand. The 2009 lineup included two new or updated charging solutions with the Charge Station EX and the Kama Charge Kit, and an all new, full featured Wiimote alternative with The Wand. The Wand has all of the features you've come to love and expect in a Wiimote but with a few notable improvements, including a more ergonomic design for horizontal play, extended battery life, and a new technology called Trans-Port that allows rumble feedback signals to be transferred to controller attachments, like Nunchucks or classic controllers. We were informed at CES that The Wand would be hitting stores sometime this April, but now we've gotten more details on The Wand and forthcoming retail bundles. More »
February 19, 2009 - The console war between PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 rages on, and while you can debate all day about which systems are producing the best games, popular opinion has shown that the 360 is home to the superior controller. Its inclusion of ergonomic trigger buttons is ideal for any FPS title, and the overall feel has been praised since the systems launch. Not wanting to exclude PS3 owners from such a luxury, XCM has announced a new adapter that will allow the crossover conversion of using a Xbox 360 controller on your PS3. More »
February 19, 2009 - We aren't huge followers of ABC's popular dancing competition series, Dancing With The Stars, but occasionally the cast is such that we can't help but watch with morbid fascination. When this season's lineup of celebrity contestants was first revealed, we were shocked, appalled, and slightly amused to find that Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak would be hitting the dance floor. Having had an integral role in shaping one of the world's most prominent computer manufacturers, Wozniak is the last person we were expecting to see on a television series…dancing. More »

February 19, 2009 - Ever look at a product so ridiculous and wonder just how exactly it got approved and/or made? First there's the concept, then the time spent on the blueprints, next comes the working prototype, and finally the finished version. That's at least four steps where someone could have sobered up at some point in the production process and put an end to the madness. One such item has come across our desks today, turning two of our favorite things -- booze and firearms -- into alcohol projectile awesomeness. More »
February 19, 2009 - What's better than two submarines colliding? Two submarines colliding while both are carrying nuclear ballistic warheads on board. Why? Because the best kind of nuclear holocaust is an accidental one; that was one possible outcome earlier this week when a British nuclear sub smacked into a French sub in the Atlantic, each made undetectable to the other thanks to sophisticated anti-sonar equipment. The most interesting part of the story? Neither sub had any clue that they had even been in a collision until days later. More »
February 18, 2009 - The ethics police are still alive and well over at the Apple App Store. Since its inception the store, which currently houses hundreds of thousands of approved apps, has taken the high road when it comes to explicit content by denying applications that could be viewed as potentially offensive. Now, Apple's censorship sniper has scored yet another headshot on an aspiring app, this time from the guys over at South Park. More »
February 18, 2009 - Man, it feels like the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is becoming the Lindsay Lohan of the science world. Every week we see a new photo and story of how this thing is a complete train wreck and needs to be checked into whatever the super machine equivalent of rehab is. It's probably just a matter of time before a LHC sex tape or nipple-slip photo start to make their rounds on the Internet. Additional attention was granted for this potential end of the world device when it was announced this week that Tom Hanks will be the lucky guy to turn on the LHC when repairs are completed. Publicity stunt, or just bait for the first black hole this thing generates? You decide. More »

February 17, 2009 - Although many manufacturers have announced plans to support Google's new Android mobile format, HTC is the only hardware producer with handsets currently available for purchase. HTC introduced the world's first Android-enabled phone with the T-Mobile G1 back in September of 2008, and just this afternoon HTC announced their Android solution for Europe with the Vodafone HTC Magic. Although you'll probably never see the HTC Magic in its current form, as it is exclusive to Vodafone, however, it does make some improvements to the G1 that we might just see stateside in an updated model later this year.
