Every so often a fad comes along that has us saying, f**k, yeah! Some of our all-time favorites included leg warmers, Garbage Pail Kids and wearing jeans backwards. But in the last few years an even better fad has come along: vampires on television.

That's why we were so excited when we heard about Moonlight, which, with its focus on a vampire detective, completely copied some of our favorite shows of the past like Angel and Forever Knight. Unfortunately, CBS recently announced that Moonlight has been s**tcanned, which naturally caused our tears to flow, smearing our copious black eyeliner.

Still, there are a few things that have cheered us up. First is the thought that, as undead, these characters can't ever really die, meaning that at some point in the future we're guaranteed another show about a vampire detective. Secondly, though, is the great idea we had to put together a Top Eleven Vampires in Television list to celebrate Moonlight and the sweet tradition of people feeding on other people. So here it is; grab your garlic tipped crossbow and settle in for a decidedly unsettling read.
