Movies That Should Be Shows

by Scott Harris

We love movies, especially this time of year. After a relaxing winter of curling up in front of a cozy fire, the last thing we want to do is go outside, where we'll be assaulted by flowers, birds, and, worst, all that annoying sunshine totally f***ing up our eyesight. No, give us a darkened theatre with a great movie any day.

Movies, though, have one inherent drawback: they're way too short. That's why we're increasingly fond of television. And over the years, TV and film have had a close relationship, much like you and your attractive cousin. Indeed, many of the greatest shows in television history started off as films: M*A*S*H lasted eleven seasons and remains one of the most beloved shows of all time, especially among grandmothers, while Buffy the Vampire Slayer is regarded as an American classic.

So that got us thinking: which of our favorite films would we love to see more of, each and every week, only partially ruined by frequent commercials? Not every film would make a good TV show - hello, Clueless - but we've come up with a list that would have our DVRs begging for mercy.

Here it is, then: our Top 11 Movies That Should Be TV Shows.
