Best Foreign TV Imports

You know, some people, up on Capital Hill, want to keep out the foreigners. And we don't mean Foreigner - "Feels Like the First Time" should be grounds for deportation - we mean people from other countries. Frankly, we here at UGO are disgusted by this attitude for one simple reason: we love Survivor.

Oh, sure, there are other issues involved, we guess, but the main thing is this: a giant fence might keep out illegals, but it's also going to keep out those delicious foreign television shows. Now, we love giant fences, or anything oversized, like an enormous telephone you can climb or something, but we equally love shows such as The Office or Who Wants to be a Millionaire?. And lately, Hollywood has been agreeing with us: every fall, the lineups are featuring nearly a dozen new shows that are adaptations of foreign television shows.

With that in mind, then, we thought this would be a good time to present to your our list of the top television shows adapted from foreign properties. Some of them are already classics, but who knows what else may be in our future?.

So check out our list and while you're at it, write your congressman. And tell them that immigration is important, but not as important as Takeshi's Castle.
