Film Actors on TV
by Scott Harris
If there's one thing we love, it's big movie stars who decide to ditch fame and fortune and become little, itsy bitsy television stars. Sure, this often actually means more money and more fame, but historically television has been seen as a more lowbrow and less prestigious venue. In other words, snooty stars who wanted to be serious actors would appear in tiny foreign films about incest and wine tastings instead of appearing on, you know, Mr. Belvedere.
Now, though, roles are reversing. As movies begin to suck more and more (thank you, Brett Ratner), television happens to be getting better and better, with high quality shows like The Sopranos often being better than their big screen counterparts. Serious actors are turning to television to get respect (and, you know, fame, fortune, fast cars and hot girls), and personally, we think it's great. As shows like Battlestar Galactica and 24 have proven, it's better to see your favorite stars every week than only once a year.
With that in mind, then, here's our list of our favorite big screen stars who have made the jump to the tiny tube.
