Crazy Moments in Baseball Playoff History

Hey, did you guys realize that there's only one October? That's according to the calendar wizards over at TBS, who clearly are rivaling the Mayans for time tracking technology. At least this year we don't have that bombastic knob Dane Cook shouting it at us. Still, if you're like us, every time those ads come on you're thinking, actually, there are lots and lots of Octobers. Hell, there's one every year, right? Rain delay anyone? When was the last time the deciding game of a World Series was delayed for two days by rain?

With this in mind, we thought it might be a good time to take a look back at some of those Octobers. After all, if they've gotten one thing right, it's the fact that October does have a little something extra thanks to the presence of the Major League Baseball playoffs and World Series every year. And over the past 106 seasons, there have been plenty of downright bizarre moments that continue to have fans scratching their heads even now.
