Why lie about puberty? The thing about the films of American Pie is that, yeah, they're horny, but they aren't crude. The success of this franchise is that the women in the film are always presented as people, not solely as goals. This may not seem like a major achievement, but compared to similar movies from a previous generation, it actually is.
