Our good friend Oderus Urungus just dropped Fango a line to ask if we'd share the news that the Mighty GWAR will be heading out on a U.S. Tour soon. Of course, like all things GWAR-related, we're kind of forced to share the news, as their Manager, Sleazy P. Martini (who must be off today) would show up on our doorsteps demanding "protection money" and hookers if we didn't. What can we say? He's a mercurial man.

Boys and sexy Ghouls, the global ice age is set once again to touch down on U.S. soil. In 2006, the German based Industrial act Eisbrecher took the world by ice storm with their release Antikörper on Dancing Ferret Discs. Blending heavy rifts with deep clear vocal grooves and gripping music, the act climbed to the top of the German dance charts and later ripping up the States on icy winds.

UK-based guitar heroes DragonForce will be back on U.S shores this spring to support last year's Ultra Beatdown. The band will embark on a month-long, headlining tour and hit a batch of markets they did not play on their successful fall tour last November.
The tour was designed specifically as a way to reward DragonForce's throng of fans for their continued support of the band, with a limited number of discounted tickets, which takes these trying economic times into account. There's no better way for fans to spend their hard-earned cash than by taking in a night of swilling beer and watching the band shred their way through an entire set!

The slimy, wet, moss-covered Pacific Northwest is home to a host of beautiful musical acts. I have to admit that I have a soft spot for bands from the Northwest, as it is my home too, after all. I’d been a fan of Portland, Oregon’s synth punk act The Epoxies for a while now and have been sold solidly on the leads voice and their dedicated work. In Oregon, The Epoxies were a breath of fresh air in many stale nightclubs. Regrettably, the act has since split but out of the wreckage continues the dulcet voice of Roxy. Her new act, now dubbed Roxy Epoxy & The Rebound is set to release their latest album B ANDAIDS ON BULLET HOLES on March 10th through Metropolis records.

When the band Orgy set aside time in 2004 for the band to work on side projects, it opened the door for Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck to unveil their sexy side project Julien-K. On February 17th (the originally reported date for ending Analog transmissions and switching to entirely digital broadcasts) the act released the video for their long-awaited single “Kick the Bass” on Playboy.com’s Cyberclub (Age verification IS required for viewing) The video was a hypnotic cornicopia of bondage, masochism, and cannibalism. It's a cold Saturday night, deep within the heart of Kenosha, Wisconsin, as the black-shirted legions are making their decent upon an odd venue for a night of metal. Recently signed to Metal Blade Records, hometown boys Lazarus A.D. are staging a release party show for their album THE ONSLAUGHT (see our review here), which arrives in-stores this Tuesday. The last-minute show is not taking place at a nightclub, a bar, or any kind of remotely traditional venue. It's McKinley Elementary School, and the only "students" are those who came to rock.
