Pick up and Punch - A hyper-intuitive, gesture-based control scheme developed with 1:1 responsiveness and approachability in mind. Grab the Wiimote and Nunchuck and feel the deep satisfaction of stringing together mug shots, body blows, and bone crushing Breakers. Dodge and Parry your opponent's attacks and then unload on them with the Grand Daddy of them all... the FaceBreaker. Brawl for It All - Throw your hat in the ring for the most extremely extreme boxing tournament of all time! Put your skills to the test in this single player experience where you battle past every character in the game, earning belts, characters, costumes - and ultimate glory - along the way. It ain’t called Brawl for it All for nuthin'. Mess up yo' Face - After you beat your opponent to the mat add the ultimate humiliation by using your Wii Remote to brand. [Electronic Arts]

Brings enjoyable multiplayer boxing to the Wii along with plenty of crazy characters and ridiculous moves.

Overall, FaceBreaker KO Party is step in the right direction and is perfectly suited for the Wii.

Facebreaker K.O. Party is a fun little brawler which is best played in short bursts.

IGN
It's a slick looking game, can be great for any type of gamer against each other, but won't ever push into that upper-tier of must-have, must-play titles on Wii. If it's about being a party game, FaceBreaker succeeds, but is shallow in a "mindless fun" kind of way.

All in all FaceBreaker K.O Party is a decent Wii boxing game. Its definitely not up to standards with the Fight Night series, but it also doesn’t strive to be.

The main pitfall of the game is its difficulty, except that Facebreaker: KO Party is a very amusing game and the perfect opportunity to challenge your friends in a battle … without killing them!

Facebreaker is a hard title to rate. It’s lacks the depth of a fighter, the skill of a boxing title, and the super cheap AI can and will put most people off. Yet, the gameplay is so fast and furious, it does have the potential to be fun. Add a few friends to the mix, and you’ve got a reason to at least rent it for a weekend.

Facebreaker K.O. Party is a bit of a let down, it should have improved on the Xbox 360 version but the controllers do not add anything, in fact they make the game a bit worse.

Cheat Code Central
For someone who absolutely must have a new fighting game at his next Wii get-together with friends, sure, FaceBreaker K.O. Party is the way to go, and it's only 40 bucks. But for anyone looking to fight a friend for hours at a time (on one console, of course; the Wii version did lose online capabilities), or to enjoy a robust and reasonably challenging single-player mode, this just isn't comparable to something from, say, the Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Tekken, or Soul Calibur franchises.

EA’s stylish brawler floats like a butterfly, but plays like a full-on seizure.

If you're after some boxing action on the Wii, it might be best to stick with Wii Sports for now and wait for Punch-Out!! This simply won't satisfy.

How can the same team that produced the outstanding Fight Night Round 3 - which is arguably the best boxing simulation in videogame history - also associate its name with one of the poorest boxing titles every made? I honestly have no idea - and call me stuck in my ways, but I'm off to download Punch-Out!! from the Virtual Console and have myself some actual fun.

Thunderbolt
Facebreaker shows some promise at the start; it’s plucky, full of spunk, and mildly charming. But play it more and it becomes apparent that it’s nothing but a one tricky pony. That charm and dazzle soon withers away along with your enthusiasm, and Facebreaker ends up punching itself in the face.
