North American Pokemon Platinum Release Date Final

As reported earlier, Circuit City had mistakingly shown a possible release date for Pokemon Platinum, the game to follow Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. Nintendo today (Wednesday, December 17th, 2008) has confirmed that the Pokemon Platinum release date is March 22nd, 2009, or only about 4 months away.

Other interesting titles are Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echos of Time set for spring, some more additions to Ubisoft's already large Imagine series appearing February and March as well as their less-popular Jake Power series (much like the Imagine series but for boys) set for January and March. Also Grandtheft Auto (a series more geared towards teens and adults): Chinatown Wars should come some time this winter. Finally, a few interesting titals also directly from Nintendo are Personal Trainer: Math on January 12th and Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon on Feburary 16th.

It is to feature Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, and a fourth similar Pokemon, almost definitely Arceus, though both Heatran and Crescelia have yet to appear in a movie. Of course, there is always the slim possibility that it will be a 5th generation Pokemon as well. It is worth note that a Pichu with a spiky ear is also featured, which may mean more gender differences in the 5th generation. Or, for those (like myself) who can't think of anything but a second generation remake, then it could just be more evidence, being Pichu was first featured in the second generation.

E-Pokemon

>>>>Pokemon.com has officially revealed Shaymin to US players, though obviously anyone who follows Japanese Pokemon news or has ever hacked their game probably already knows about it. Though there is no knowledge of when it will be obtainable, Pokemon.com says to check back often to find out. Serebii reports that this will likely be Spring next year, though there is no such confirmation for this.

Platinum Updates to Pokemon Ranch

Pokemon Platinum English Domain

What this most likely means is that NOA's internet promotion of Pokemon Platinum is being prepared, though, as I said, they haven't launched anything yet, neither at Pokemon-Games.com nor Pokemon.com.

Pokemon Ranger 2 is Out!

Still no Sign of a Second Generation Remake
Unfortunately there has been no news of a Gold/Silver/Crystal remake as of yet. There still exists much evidence that there will be one, the biggest bit being that in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl it is possible to trade with the Johto region, which means that GameFreak had at least been thinking about a remake during the development of Diamond and Pearl. Likely any information about the next game made by Gamefreak will be realeased in the first two quarters of 2009, though it could be earlier or later. In any case, try not to get too upset over the lack of information, there is a lot of demand for it in both North America and to some extent Japan, so it is likely that there will be one.

Yeah, there hasn't been a lot of news lately and it's quite unfortunate. Fear not as I will try and have something in the near future. Wii games are somewhat scarce and the DS will hopefully have some things that are better in the near future.

Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia missions

I know I'm late to this though I figure I post it anyway. Two missions in the sequel to Pokémon Ranger were only available in shops in the Japanese version. In the English version, they will be able to be downloaded via Wi-fi until January 31, 2009. The two missions are the Manaphy egg and the Aura Sphere Riolu.

This is sort of interesting considering that the Manaphy egg mission was actually included in the first Ranger game without the need to be downloaded.

There is no word on the Darkrai mission. I guess it will be made available via Wi-fi sometime later.

Yeah there has been a real lack of news although finally we have something of mild interest:

Pokémon Batorio now has some new coins featuring three legendary Pokémon. Giratina and Lugia with 120 HP, and Land Form Shaymin with 85 HP.

There is a rumor going around now that a new Wii is out in 2011 called Wii HD with improved graphics. I don't believe this is yet confirmed but more details will be posted when available.

Good news if you live there, bad news if you don't. I live in Ireland so I'm used to events not happening near me.

Well anyway, the lv. 50 Darkrai is held inside a Cherish ball. It knows Hypnosis, Nightmare, Roar of Time and Spacial Rend. It's held item is an Enigma Berry, and it has the Classic Ribbon, so as to prevent it from beingtraded over the GTS.

It is downloaded via Mystery gift.

Incidently, if you do not have Mystery Gift, you can obtain it in Jublife City. There is a girl on the third floor whom, if you talk to, makes you giver her a four word Phrase.

On the english version, reply Everyone Happy Wi-Fi Connection
