42, what do you do with such a number? There are 42 lotto balls and, according to the girls of "Beauty & The Nerd", 42 is probably the double of 22.
The number 42 has gotten another meaning for me: 42 ways to pass a dull time with some fun.

Concerning graphics, the makers obviously chose function above form. The wole is decent but not exactly beautiful. You can unlock a couple of new backgrounds but that's it. The sound isn't worth mentioning at all but rarely starts to disturb you. Sound and graphics are just as simple as the minigames themselves and in this case this isn't even a bad thing.
The games:
They could have called this game also "18 card games + 24 other game classics" as the first are foremost the largest in number.
The card games are divided into three categories going from beginning to die hard card player. All the most well-known games are present and they even work perfectly. If you play with different rules at home, you can always adjust the settings toplay as you like. Sadly you'll need to wait quite a long time for your turn and a skip button would have come in handy. This latter point also goes for almost all games on this cartridge by the way.
Next to the card games, board games are best presented. 12 little feasts await you and most well-known are checkers, backgammon and chess. They're all pretty decent but a bit on the easy side, no matter which difficulty level you use.
There's also 5 action games present where darts and bowling are the most interesting ones. Throwing down the cones is a bit easier but works perfectly and is fun to do. Unfortunately the pool game is less successful. You play 9-ball but the balls look more like numbered dishes that slide over a way too small table. Aiming is badly done and shooting is more a matter of luck than skill.
Furthermore there are four so-called "variation games" (like Domino) and for the loners amongst us there's three single player games including, yes, solitaire.
All in all there's something for anyone although you'll need some patience for the lesser known games.
You can immediately start up a game (free play) or go to the Stamp or Mission Mode. With the latter you need to complete 30 missions like throwing bullseye three times with a maximum of 10 arrows at darts. In the stamp mode you need to finish all games in a certain order and earn stamps. As such a little interesting feature but it does give you a chance to learn each and every minigame.
The multiplayer is a more than fun addition. All 42 classics really start to be fun and the replay value is almost endless. Play against someone in the neighborhood and with the built-in pictochat you can start swearing at him when he's winning. Take on people from all over the world and chatting gets limited to a couple of standard phrases like "Good Game". Still, when we tested, it was quite hard to find someone for an online game but maybe this will change in the future.
The biggest plus may very well be the price. For less than 30 euros you can have these 42 addictive games in your home. Don't get me wrong though, this isn't a must-have title and doesn't give an unforgettable experience but does give enough variation and ways to pass time to justify buying it.
Not all games are equally fun or well done but still there's enough that remains to keep you busy for quite a while. On the train, during an ad break on TV, or during the loading times of other games. There's always a hole that can easily be filled by one of the 42 game classics.
