From the makers of 'FlOw', Flower is a game available as a PSN download. This game cannot be described under any genre and shows us that a game can still be incredible, even without our usual shooting in a WW2 setting. Flower sets a new standard in an amazing way, and it is truly something you must experience to understand even half of its beauty.

So I spent my week off from omgNintendo and things online visiting KouAidou in Tokyo. It was a fun trip and while I did plenty of things Nintendo-related (as you'll be seeing tomorrow), I spent most of time just doing the usual tourist stuff. Tokyo Tower, shrines and parks, Shibuya and even a trip to Yokohama.

Of course, something you fail to appreciate when you're planning your trip as a tourist is that Tokyo is actually very big. Getting to and from tourist destinations is almost always going to call for a ride on either Japan's famous Yamanote line or some other subway. If it's during a rush period of the day, you'll spend it standing up and trying not to jostle people too much with your bags. If it's during a more relaxed time of day, well... then settle down on a nice heated seat and start gaming. It's what everyone else on the train will be doing (who's not reading books or comics or just sleeping).

I saw dozens of PSPs and a slightly smaller number of DSes on my trips, and for a longer trip you can get a lot of gaming done. Factor in my time spent on the trains with the time I spent on my flights in and out of the country and, well, that's a lot of time to spend playing the heck out of Puzzle Quest Galactrix. In the game's favor, it does so much right that I could play nothing but it for a week and feel totally satisfied with my purchase. On the other hand, Galactrix is in many ways a game that became just too ambitious for its own good.

Old school gamers may remember the arcade classic "Cyber Troopers Virtual On". It was a SEGA AM3 title that started out in arcades, then ended up being ported to a number of different consoles.

Recently it was announced that "Virtual On" is heading to XBLA. While its always good to see an old classic brought to the current generation of consoles, why not throw in "Crazy Taxi" and "Virtua Tennis" (two other AM3 games) while you're at it SEGA?

There is no official release date for "Virtual On" but look for it sometime this Spring. Hit the jump to check out the official press release.

When I came back from my vacation last week, the first thing I saw when I signed back on to the precious sweet live-giving Internets was a link to Chrontendo and the words, "You've got to see this."

A lot of things I've apparently "got to see" end up being wastes of time, and I went into Chrontendo a skeptic. Eighten hour-long episodes (and two Sega Master System specials) later, I'm a believer. Chrontendo is quite possibly the most entertaining video podcast about the history of gaming you can watch that isn't, you know, already pretty famous.

The shred of novelty that Save Kitty brings to the table disappears rather quickly, but it's sure to make the girliest of girls (and boys) squirm.

Somehow or another, this kitty's curiosity has gotten him mixed up with a pretty tough crowd: a vicious trio of circular saw blades. Your job is to keep the cat away from the spinning blades for as long as possible. Each nick subtracts a portion of his life, which can be replaced bit by bit by collecting bottles of milk that appear randomly.

Things don't get gory until the fatal slice, which decapitates the furry critter and sprays blood all over your screen.

Save Kitty is good for a quick giggle, but I can't imagine anyone coming back to it more than a few times.

Get Save Kitty.

This week Urk talks about a haunted house, annoying fans, and how you can score the Mythic Map Pack. What's that? The Mythic Map Pack code is all you care about? Well alright then!

Last night I attended the Resident Evil 5 launch event hosted by Capcom and GameStop. The place was themed for an infection outbreak and it was a much larger event than I expected. First off, as you walked up to Union Square in San Francisco it would have been impossible for you to miss the huge decontamination tent with the hazardous materials symbols projected on it. The event started at 8pm and when I got there at about 8:15pm there was probably about 75-100 people already in line (thank god for press passes). When you entered there were two guys dressed in Army fatigues with "contamination scanners" and they would scan each person before allowing you into the main area of the tent.

The delicious foods you consume on a daily basis didn't just come from the ground, unless you're one of those "organic" folk. No, the best-tasting stuff is the result of trial and error, as well as plenty of research and marketing. But sometimes, the most well-intentioned food ideas turn out tasting like crap, and are thankfully removed from store shelves. The question  for the following products is not why they were discontinued, but why they were even made in the first place? These are the 8 Worst Discontinued Foods Ever Produced.

9-Doritos 3D

It's a sad occasion when a Doritos consumer comes across one of those morose chips that has had an air bubble trapped inside itself during production.  In fact, such a chip has been known to cause many Doritos connoisseurs to throw their bags of highly flavored corn chips against the wall screaming, "How do you expect me to take my snacking to a higher level with this garbage!"  Unless said connoisseur is stoned--in that case he just goes on pleasantly eating, while the Duck Tales rerun continues to blow his mind.  So imagine the surprise when Doritos announced an entire product line of chips with air bubbles intentionally pumped in.  And then imagine a 300-lb man attempting to punch the Frito-Lay executive who green-lit such a worthless chip (if your imagined scenario doesn't end with the 300-lb man dying of a heart attack, you're doing it wrong).  Doritos 3D, how many obese people's deaths are on your conscious, you miserable chip?

Let’s face it, quality DLC is becoming a standard for games. It’s hard not to see a game out more than a year without some new map pack or item that is supposed to enhance your experience or increase the games longevity. Well, we here at GamePro Arcade were wondering, what would be the top DLC we would like to see come to this generation? We racked our brains and have come up with the following list that we feel is suitable for everyone. Of course you can add your own input in the comments section for something you feel should have been added.
