DOLLHOUSE SHOWGUIDE

Joss Whedon reunites with frequent muse Eliza Dushku for Dollhouse, a new series that balances an exploration on the frailty of identity with the quirky high concept science fiction/action that keeps Whedon’s name ablaze in the geek firmament.

Dollhouse is about a shadow organization engaging in a whole new line of human trafficking. For the right price, Dollhouse can produce a willing sex partner, an expert kidnapping negotiator, or virtually any other type of personality. Catering to the rich, Dollhouse does more than provide a service - it provides a custom made life that the wealthy can have complete control over.

The ‘actives’ as they are called enter the program for a predetermined length of time, having their memory of the agreement - along with the rest of their personality - wiped clean. When a new assignment becomes available the actives are imprinted with new identities, presumably taken from a catalog of real lives with the one caveat being total and willing adherence to a scheduled ‘treatment’ that marks the end of an assignment, and a return to their blank existence.

Eliza Dusku - who also serves as Dollhouse’s producer - plays Echo, an active who seems to be developing an awareness that all is not what it seems at the Dollhouse.

Because we are Whedonites at heart, UGO has put together a tour of Dollhouse’s ensemble of players along with picture galleries and video clips. Stay tuned for breaking Dollhouse news and updates.
