My 1984 Moto Morini 500 sei-v

Bought from WeeVee in April 1986, she originally had a flat seat and raised handlebars and the gold badges had been replaced with silver ones. I very soon bought the sport seat, a sport top yoke and a set of clip-ons, Benjy at WeeVee very kindly gave me his last set of gold badges free of charge. Clip-ons and original foot rests = back ache so next was a set of Artesiani rearsets. Two front mudguards soon rusted through so both front and rear were replaced with stainless steel ones. Nearly all of the nuts and bolts have been replaced with stainless, the complete exhaust is in stainless from Armours. The electric starter was barely up to the job even when new, this is now in the large box of spare bits under the workbench, and a much smaller battery is fitted. Front and rear brake hoses are Goodrich stainless ones.A small fly screen has been fitted above the head light.

The engine needed a bottom end rebuild at around 30,000 miles due to one of the bearings breaking up, while the engine was out I had the frame repainted in the same shade of red as the original. The tank, sidepanels and tail piece are still covered in the original paint.

After the rebuild I rode her to Morano, Italy for the Morini rally, the original footrest and flatter bars were put back on in an attempt to make the journey a bit more comfortable. She covered nearly 2500 trouble free miles in two weeks.

Mileage is now over 40,000 and she is going as well as ever. The clip-ons and rear sets will soon be unearthed from the large box under the work bench and re fitted. She looks just perfect that way.

What does she sound like? These should play with Windows media player or any MP3 player. Let me know if you have any problems.
