Selling our publications is a great way to satisfy and educate your customers. Our publications will help them to become more interested in bird watching, which can turn into increased product sales for you!

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

There are no special requirements for carrying our periodical publications. They are carried most often in wild bird stores, farm & garden centers, hardware stores, bookstores, nature centers, and in gift shops.

HOW DOES THE RETAIL SALES PROGRAM WORK FOR ME?

As a participant in our retail sales program, you will be shipped your allotment of magazines and/or newsletters directly from our printer before the on-sale date. The minimum order for each publication is five copies per issue. That number can be increased at any time by calling us toll-free at 1-800-879-2473.

HOW CAN THE RETAIL SALES PROGRAM HELP ME MAKE MONEY?

The newsstand price of Bird Watcher's Digest magazine is $4.99. You pay $1.99 per copy ($2.25 Canada). Purchase the minimum five copies per issue and pay us just $59.70/year ($67.50 Canada) with the potential of making up to $149.70/year ($165 Canada). More than double your investment!

The newsstand price of Backyard Birds Newsletter is $3.00 ($4.50 Canada). You pay $1.50 per copy ($1.80 Canada). Purchase the minimum 5 copies per issue and pay us just $45/year ($54 Canada) with the potential of making up to $90/year ($135 Canada). That's double your investment!

Shipping is free and a free counter display unit is included with your first order. Returns are not accepted, but we will work closely with you to ensure that you receive the proper quantity, and that the publications are lively, educational, and appropriate to your customers' needs.

WHAT IS THE SHIPPING SCHEDULE OF THE PUBLICATIONS?

Bird Watcher's Digest magazine is published six times a year. The issues are January/February, March/April, May/June, July/August, September/October, & November/December, and they are shipped to stores the month prior to the date listed. For instance, the July/August issue of BWD is sent out in the middle of June.

The Backyard Birds Newsletter is published in the alternate months, or February/March, April/May, June/July, August/September, October/November, & December/January. BBN too is sent out the month before the on-sale date. In other words, the August/September issue of BBN mails in mid-July. So, if you sell both of our publications, you will receive new issues of one or the other every month!
