Bombardier could announce as early as today two firm orders for its CSeries regional jet, totalling 50 aircraft.
The Canadian manufacturer is expected to firm up a Lufthansa order for 30. Bombardier announced the German carrier as a customer last year at the Farnborough Air Show, and signed a letter of interest for 30 aircraft and 30 options.
Flightglobal's premium sister publication Commercial Aviation Online understands that Lufthansa will acquire the 110-seat version of the CSeries. Lufthansa could not be reached for comment.
Separately, Bombardier is also expected to announce an operating lessor as a new customer for the CSeries.
CAO understands that the manufacturer has agreed a 20-aircraft firm order with the lessor for the 130-seat CSeries model, with 20 options.
