Madden Cover: Coincidence or Curse? : Virtual Sports Network

Do you believe in the Madden Curse? There is decent supporting evidence from each version. Favre & the Jets choke to miss out on the playoffs, Mangini gets fired, he leads the league in interceptions.

Does it exist? If your favorite team's star player was going to be on the cover, would you care about it at all? Or is it just a silly notion.

the madden curse is based on injuries not a bad season that the team happens to have.

Favre has a shoulder injury, a torn tendon in his throwing shoulder which hurt his peformance for most of the season, so the curse does live on.

and i think young only got hurt once in 08 and it wasnt very serious at least thats how i remember it could be wrong though and madden never got hurt when he was on the cover
