Make Change Work for Your Business
This is an excellent post. Every single tip is that great mix of aiming for the big picture, supported by solid ground-level strategies.

I hadn't really thought through to a unique business facebook presence separate from my personal one. That'll change shortly!

And in my coaching practice, your tip #5 (come clean with your employees) is huge. Nothing builds forward momentum and concrete support faster than feeling like you are trusted and part of something bigger in a meaningful way. Nothing tears it down faster than feeling like you are being deliberately kept in the dark because you are not to be trusted.

Rieva's Resolutions for the New Year
Hi Rieva,

Great post, especially Resolution #2, regarding being resourceful. To that end, I think business owners should resolve to spend more time studying and utilizing proven methods of direct response marketing. A great way to do that, without spending any money is to check out copywriter Clayton Makepeace's site, where he gives away a ton of useful information and advice. Applying the advice I get there for free has helped my business and that of many of my clients. If you want to check him out:
