The Riddle of Master Lu This is a basic walkthrough and doesn't elaborate on 'cut scenes' except where necessary for 'clues'. New York Pick up the handling stick from the floor. Go to the POSH office. Talk to the clerk and send a radiogram then book passage to Peiping. Peiping Leave the POSH office, go right and give the photo to the old woman who gives you the helmet which you place on the awning. Go behind the blacksmith's shop and pick up the wheel, then the seven spokes when the wheel shatters. Look at the junk pile and pick up the rebus amulet. Go to the wall to the left of the herbalist and use the seven spokes on the wall to climb over and into the Hall of Classics. Get the pass from Mai-Chen then pick up the silver butterfly from the ground. Go left, pick up the mallet and strike the gong. Be polite to the chief monk when you talk to him! Return to the POSH office, send the amulet and butterfly to New York then book passage to Danzig. Danzig Get some local currency then go to the castle. Use the door and talk to the new Baron. Look at the sofa and get the banknote. Go to the billiard room, open the writing desk then the drawer. Pick up and read the letter and get the stamp. Pick up the billiard ball. Use the Ace of Spades card on the wall by the picture to reveal a switch. Use the switch then look at the smoking hutch. Open the box and pick up a cigar then open the vent and use the billiard ball in the round hole. Close the hutch, then use the billiard table to open the entrance to the laboratory and enter. Pick up the lever key and use it with the table pivot. Open the drawer and get the garden hose, rubber plug, surgical tube and pump grips. Use the pump grips on the pump and the surgical tubing on the nozzles. Pick up the periodic table of elements and put it in the glass jar. Pick up the faucet pipe and the faucet handle. Use the faucet handle on the air valve and close the valve. Use the pump and then open the valve to release the emerald. Use the emerald to remove the cork then pick up the periodic table from the sink. Pick up the pump grips and the pump rod, faucet handle, surgical tubing and the lever key. Use the lever key with the pump rod and then use it on the wall bracket. Look at the iron support holding the glass jar and then use the emerald on the small hole to release the jar. Pick it up and place it on the lever key. Use the rubber plug, the cork and the pump grips to block up the holes in the jar. put the faucet handle back on the faucet stem then attach the surgical tubing to the faucet stem. Attach the hose to the surgical tubing and the faucet pipe to the hose. Use the faucet pipe on the glass jar, then use the faucet handle to fill the jar with water to open the small door. Pick up the letter. Examine the emerald with the microscope to find Ti Xe (which represent 22 (titanium) and 64 (xenon) on the periodic table ...and exit backwards). Use 4622 as the code on the buttons to open the main door and exit by the sun-dial. Go right to the tomb and talk to Wolf about the bell. Give him some currency.Once he's gone, pick up the stepladder and use it on the steps.Climb on and open the grate and look inside the tomb. Go back to the POSH office, send the banknote and the stamp to New York. The remaining three places can be visited in any order, so let's go to Sikkim as it's the most 'tedious' cos of the maze. Sikkim Leave the POSH office. Use the cigar to get the cigar ring and use it on the guard to enter the hidden way. the five prayer wheels that need to be switched are usually with monks 4, 6, 9, 12 and 14, and usually each prayer wheel has to be moved to the next, ie 4 to 6, 6 to 9 etc ...and monk 9 is usually the one that has been there the longest who will open the way to the maze (but it can be solved like a normal 'logic' puzzle, ie draw a grid and use the clues to note the relevant monks if your game doesn't follow the above). In the maze pull the relevant ropes to light the way to the next room. Go E-N-E-E-S-W-S-E-E and pick up the chisel. The next part of the maze is a real pig! Go W-W-N-E-E-E-S-E-N-N-W-W-N-E-E-N-W-W-N-N-W-S-S-W-S-W-W-S-W- N-W-S-W-S-E-S-W-W-N-N-N-N-E-E-N-N-N-N-E-E-E-E-E-E-S-E-N-E-S ...and pick up the incense burner. Now go N-W-S-W-W-W-S-S-W-S and pull the rope in the middle of the back wall to drop the ladder. Use the ladder and enter the inner temple. Use the journal on Master Lu's book to get part of the script for the tablet in the Hall of Classics. Go down the ladder and out. Exit the temple to the south (between monks 2 and 3). Go to the POSH office and send the chisel and incense burner to New York, then book passage to Peru Peru Use the journal on the 'stele' and examine the clock on the counter and any puffin. Talk to the clerk about the clock and the puffin, then book passage to Mocha Mocha. Mocha Mocha Exit the office, cross the chasm and talk to the man in the hole, then give him the emerald. go right and use the journal on the 'stele'. Go up the stairs to the terrace and pick up some green and some brown vines. Go back down to the 'spider' statue by the chasm. One at a time, use the vines on the statue and the 'coil' on the tree opposite to toss the rest of the vine across the chasm. Cross over and use each vine on the tree to make another hand hold, then use the rope to unfasten it. Go back across the chasm and pick up the rope. Get the ladder and the shovel from the hole and pick up the toy car in the sand. Go back up to the terrace and up to the top of the tower. Use the ladder on the altar, then use the altar post. Use the rope on the ladder, then use the ladder and pick up the skull. Pick up the rope and go back down the tower and over to the observatory door. The sequence can be seen by looking at the snake markings in the journal You can work out the the starting point of the sequence (bottom left), but is is usually pictogram number 6 (the arrow) followed by 7, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Use the skull on the skeleton and the shovel on the hole in the capstain, then use the shovel to move the dome and reveal more script for the tablet in the Hall of Classics. Pick up the skull and go back to the POSH office. Send the toy and skull to New York and book passage to Easter Island. Easter Island Talk to Samantha - till you trust her (move to statue). Talk again (move to cove). Talk to the old woman. Pick up the stump and put it in the large hole. Pick up the driftwood puffin then go west and south to the camp. Go into the shack and pick up the pull cord. Exit and pick up the sleeve and the pole (you can ignore the note and map of the quarry). Go back to the POSH office and give the puffin to the clerk and get the coral in exchange, then book passage to Easter Island again. Go north to the statue and use the sleeve to get the obsidian disk. Go to the cover and use the pole on the stump, then use the pole to release the statue. Give the coral and the disk to the old woman. Go back to the camp and talk to Samantha (to cove - get 'map' and horn). When she leaves pick up her lighter from the ground. Use the pull cord in the horn and then fill it with water from the sea. Go west and west past the statue to the quarry. go north three times and then west. Use the water on the clay and then use the rock. Examine the fissure and get the tablet. Use the journal on the tablet. Go east then south four times and south to the camp. Use the window and enter the shack. Pick up the spark plug tool and use it on the plug at the bottom of the gas tank. Use the horn to release the pull cord and use the pull cord on the plug, then use the pull cord with the wire on the door. use the lighter on the ground underneath the gas tank, then go to the back of the shack and pull the power cable, then quickly leave via the window. Go back to the POSH office and send the map and horn to New York, then book passage to New York. New York Go into the west gallery entrance and pick up the turtle. Open the drawer and get the turtle treats, then back to the POSH office and book passage to Danzig. Danzig Use the topiary (bush) in the front garden to mess it up, then go north to the sun-dial. Talk to Wolf. Pick up the plank and the edger and go east to the tomb. use the plank on the urn, then use the plank, then use the grate, then use the turtle treats on the grate. Then use the edger on the turtle treats and finally use the turtle on the turtle treats to get the tablet 'key'. Go back to the POSH office and book passage to Peiping. NB - once you arrive at Peiping there is a long cut scene sequence, but you must remember to listen to the tomb opening sequence to get the details of the two numbers and two colours which represent the position of two different coloured terra-cotta sentries in the tomb entrance which have to be pushed to open the tomb door. Peiping When Mai-Chen is fighting, go outside the temple and pick up the gong and the mallet. Go back and use the gong on the brazier (to stop the bullets hitting you), pick up the charcoal from the ground by the brazier then push the right hand columns to kill the 'baddie'. Use the mallet to get your journal from beneath the blocks, then use the charcoal on the journal. Now it's off to the outback. Outback Buy the shovel from the farmer, then go into the cellar, move the rice sack and use the shovel on the hand to reveal the entrance to the tomb. Enter the right hand passages and find a block of wood near a chariot and a beam by some red soldier statues. Now use the 'sequence' (from the earlier cut scene) to open the tomb entrance. Don't enter, go right and get the shields from the statues outside the tomb. Now enter the tomb and pick up the crank. Go back to the middle tunnel and push the chariot all the way along the entry path to use up the crossbow bolts, then use the crank, then the block of wood to open the next door, then use the beam on the door to hold it up. Retrive the block of wood and the crank. Give the crank to Mai-Chen. Use the wheel, then use the shovel in the 'hole' in the bridge. Talk to Mai-Chen and get her to cross the bridge. Use the wheel and retrieve the shovel. Use the wheel to get the bridge back to its original starting position and then get Mai-Chen to use the crank to lock the bridge in place. Use the shields on the mercury pool at the extreme right, enter the room and pick up the seal ...and watch the ending sequence.
