Welcome
to Dreamland. You play the role of Marcellus Faust, a strange
old man,
who happens to be wandering around in this mysterious amusement
park, Dreamland. Dreamland used to have a golden age in the
past but because of many disappearances happen inside, it becomes
deserted. The owner of the park, Theodore
Moore, closed this park for good before he passed away.
The
park is divided into seven different regions which hold the
secret of this park. These regions are Love Island, The Great
Inventor, Visit Us, The Enchanted Island, Great Attractions!,
Bootlegging and The Bath of Giselle. Seven episodes, seven deadly
sins, seven evidences and seven souls to save ........
Mephistopheles
and 'The Boss' challenged Faust to discover the past, his real
identity and to help them judging the lost souls. But beware....
if you play with fire you'll get burn ......
This
hint is my latest creation in 1999. Faust is the game that could
take your breath away. The gorgeous graphics combined with lots
of clever puzzles will make you sit for hours to solve this
game. I've divided this hint according to the number of episodes
within. One thing to remember while you're playing this game:
always recheck everything even though you've checked it before.
Everything could change during your investigation. One action
could trigger different results in the same place....
Now
for the game....

The
Story
Lily and Jody are two inseparable sisters
joined by blood ... and flesh. Two passionate and very modern
women: their taste for money is only equaled by their ardor
to satisfy the handsome Hannibal. Such a love story has attract
Mephisto's attention. He offered them a pact: a lot of money,
and a great weight to removed .... and Jody took the pact and
had to live with the obsession..
Q:
Where should I begin?
A: Step
into the caravan and start to browse around all the items there.
There are two pictures beside the bed, the knife in the toilet
(inside the toilet flusher box), the electric lamp and the brush
on the desk, the food in the cabinet below the sink, the bed,
and the two diaries inside the drawer below the blackboard.
Through these items you'll be able to learn the story.
Q:
How could I open the locked wardrobe ?
A: You
need two keys to unlock it. You could find the first key in
the drawer under the bed (by the corner). The second key is
somehow missing ....
Q:
Where is the second key?
A: Get
the strainer on the sink. Open the stove in front of it. Get
the shovel beside the stove and use it to pick up the coals.
Take out your strainer and put the coal inside it. Now hold
your strainer and move it around so it will filter the coal.
Do it for all the three coals. You'll find the key and .....
a teeth inside two of them. Use these keys to unlock the wardrobe.
Q:
There's nothing inside. What should I find here?
A: Move
the clothes and you'll see a safe.
Q:
How can I open the safe?
A: Listen
carefully on what Jody said when you find this safe. "All
our wealth on this of all days." The combination is
the sum of all the money they got. It's 121.61 + 96.07 + 107.32
+ 187 (from Hannibal's
debt) = 512. You need to turn the wheel to the right 3 times
(passing 0 position) until it reaches 5, then turn to the left
2 times until it reaches 1, and finally turn 1 time to the right
until it reaches 2. You'll hear a click and the safe will be
opened. Pick up the lottery ticket (the
First Evidence)
and the note inside.
Q:
Where is Lily's skull?
A: After
you find out the note you'll be transferred to the ride. Climb
in and enjoy the ride. No matter which paths you choose you'll
end up in a dead-end. You'll see Lily's skull here. Pick up
the note in its mouth.
Q:
What should I do in this gazebo?
A: You
should try to find a hidden compartment in this place
Q:
Where is this hidden compartment?
A: Listen
carefully on what Theodore has said in the the cut scene. He
said that he like to see sunset at this place. Hmmmm..... sunset
.... west. Climb the seat and move to approximately west direction
(to
be precise : southwest). You could look on the ground for the
direction. Look down. You'll see a strange button to the left.
Click on it. Now move the seat again to the opposite direction
(to the east). You'll see a note on the pillar. If you move
the note, you'll see the hidden compartment. You'll find Theodore
Notebook inside.
From
Theodore diary:
What Jody told me still rings in my head
today, like a gunshot. "Theodore, please be so kind as to call
the police. I think I have murdered my sister....."
The
Story
Nathaniel Meister is an appealing personality,
with such immense knowledge, and one little secret, a little
story forming part of the great. The war did not just leave
him with medals, and also a lost woman was the cost of this
gallantry. He has prepared a small test for you, a challenge
to human genius... yours, to discover his little secret.
Study Room
Q:
Where should I begin?
A: Go
inside his house and head straight to his study room. Look at
several interesting objects to build the story again. You could
find a burnt paper in the fireplace, a scratch mark on the sofa,
a phone on the table, several books on the bookshelf, and of
course the pictures on the wall. Don't forget to take the box
of matches inside the drawer on the desk.
Q:
How could I open the locked desk ?
A: The
key is hidden on the bookshelf. If you read the book on the
mathematical section, you'll be given a clue: "Code
is the key". Pick up the Code book on the same section.
You'll find a key inside. Use it to unlock the cabinet. You'll
find several interesting objects inside the drawers.

Q:
Where is the left statue's head (the statue is located below
the cabinet)?
A: Actually,
it's hidden in the secret compartment in the bottom right drawer.
Open the bottom left drawer and click on the bottom right drawer
while the bottom left drawer still open. If you close the bottom
left drawer first then the secret compartment will still be
hidden. Take the wooden statue and put it on the headless statue.
It will open the left cabinet. You'll find 3 tapes inside. Play
that tape on the tape player. Now head down to the bedroom below
the left staircase.
Bedroom
Q:
How can I open the drawer below the bed?
A: Look
at the stained window in front of the bed. Open the window and
put the geological map inside. Close the window again and look
at the window now. It will show you some kind of map. This will
set up the combination code for the mechanical lock on the globe
holder (part of the code is from the date of the Operation Fortitude).
Look carefully at the coordinates on the map. It says 50o20'
and 0o45'. There are 4 pipes on each corner of the
bed. Turn the wheel on the rear pipes according to the first
pair coordinates (longitude: 50 and 20) and then set up the
front wheels with the other pair (latitude: 0 and 45). It will
open the drawer.
Q:
How could I unlock the box inside?
A: Use
the seal ring to unlock it. Pick up the Coding Wheel. You'll
find a locked book inside. You could pick up a pipe here also.
Q:
How can I open the book?
A: Look
at the rainbow on the big window behind the globe. Use the colors
to unlock the book. Set the color so that it align to the right
side. From top to bottom: Purple, Dark Blue, Light Blue,
Green, Yellow, Orange, and Red. You'll find a sealed envelope
inside.
Q:
How could I open this envelope?
A: Use
your paper knife to open it. There's a clue on how to do it
inside the wardrobe. Open the third door from the left. Look
closely to the pile of suit on the top shelf. Use your magnifying
glass to see the paper closely. You'll see how to use the knife.
Anyway, hold the paper knife then slide it under the seal and
move it to the bottom direction. If you do it right, the envelope
will be opened without destroying the seal. It's ...... a practice
letter. You'll find the real envelope later on.
Q:
What should I do to unlock the mechanical lock on the globe?
A: You
need to set up the correct sequence number (the last 5 numbers
on the bottom row). If you look at the map on the window again,
you'll read the word: Omaha. This is the clue to that number.
Look at the wardrobe again. Open the second door from the left.
Search the right suit. You'll find a postcard with Visit Omaha
Beach word on it. Turn that postcard around
and you'll read A=0. Now look at your coding wheel and find
the numbers for the word OMAHA after you set A=0. The numbers
will be 79030. Set the bottom row of the lock to this number
and the glove will open. You'll find a scarf and another sealed
envelope. Open it by using you paper knife. Get the note inside
(the
Second Evidence).
Watch the cut scene. You'll be transported back to the study
room.
The Treasure Hunt
Q: What should I do now?
A: Read
the Gothe Faust book on the leftmost shelf. Search the drawers
inside the cabinet on the corner again. This time you'll find
a tape and three chalks. Play the tape by using the tape player
inside the underneath cabinet. Nathaniel will say something
about an assistant and you need to make him alive again by using
proper components. The 'treasure' hunt has begin. You'll see
a note also. This is the first clue to look for the components.
"If you want to know about fire, learn about ashes."
Q:
What does this first note meant?
A: Ashes....
what is related with ashes? Fireplace. Go directly to it. Use
the bellows to blow some ashes away from the fireplace to reveal
a hidden compartment. Open it and you'll find a box with slots
and strange symbols inside each slot. Pick it up along with
the handle and the note. Read the note: "The frog in
the well knows nothing about the high seas". What frog?
Pick up the shovel on your left also. Maybe you'll need it later.
Q:
Where could I find this frog?
A: Go
out and head to the old well. Mount the handle on the wheel
beside the well. Turn the well to lift the bucket up. You'll
see a frog on the top of the bucket. Pick up the item from its
mouth. Read the note inside the bucket: "What is under
is like what is above".
Q:
Where is the next item?
A: It's
buried under the ground. Take the path to the left of the well.
Turn left and go straight into the bushes. Turn a little bit
left and move the big boulder. Use your shovel to dig at the
spot where the boulder was. You'll find the next item along
with the telescope and another note: "Analogy. Turn
to your left and look up. Learn to read the veins of the rock
as the branches of the tree, and find the petrified sap".
Q:
What does this analogy mean?
A: Just
follow what it said. Turn to your left and look up. Look at
the branch closely. Mount your telescope there. Look into the
telescope and you'll see a spot on the rock. Go there and pick
up the next item plus another handle. Read the note: "I
am movement. I live half in the air, and half in the water,
but I get a grip on the earth. 7 After Black".
Q:
What is this 'movement' about?
A: Go
to the right side of the house. You'll see a water wheel. Insert
the handle on its place to the left of the water wheel. The
wheel will start moving. Start counting when you see the bucket
with black stripe on it. Pull the handle again when it reach
the seventh bucket (or the sixth after the bucket with a black
stripe). Look closely on the space between the bucket and the
one below it. You'll see a hidden compartment. Open it then
pick up the next item, a key and the note. It says: "Make
the radiant sun shine in glory upon Iris' rainbow. Help is not
far from the sailors".
Q:
Where can I use this key?
A: Go
to the bedroom and look on the wall above the bed. Insert the
key on the slot. It will open the box. You'll see a rotating
switch inside. Move it to the right. Hmmm... nothing happens.
Could it be something wrong? Look carefully on the wall to the
left of the big globe. You'll see a crevice with something red
on it. Pick the red thing. You'll have the next item and this
act will allow the light shine across the room and stop at the
window in front of the bed. Look at it.... the sailors picture!!!
Q:
What should I do with the sailor picture?
A: Look
inside the drawer beside the bed. Pick up the mirror. Insert
the mirror on the sailor's head. It will reflect the ray to
the back window where the rainbow is. Yeah, you're right ...
that's the Iris's rainbow. Look closely at the window. The ray
will point at the sun. Examine the sun. You'll have the next
item along the note: "Visita Interiora Terrae, Rectificanfoque,
Invenies Occultum Lapidum" or you can say "Visit
the belly of the earth".
Q:
Where is the belly of the earth?
A: The
earth can means globe. Open the big globe and you'll find the
next item and again, along with a note beside it: "One
cannot wander looking at the stars with a stone in his shoe".
Q:
Where can I find the shoe?
A: The
wardrobe of course. Open the second door from the left. Pick
up the shoe and move its sole. You'll find the last note which
told you to go to the kitchen.
Q:
But where is the last item?
A: Go
straight to the kitchen and open the rightmost cabinet on the
left wall. Pick up Common Salt, Rock Salt, and Salt of the Wise.
Those are your final items. Now go to the table and click on
the device. It will start to work and finally creates Homunculus,
your small assistant ........ It's alive ...
The Abandoned Park
Q: What should I do inside this abandoned park?
A: Look
up and notice an empty spot on the left of the lights. Insert
Homunculus there. Enjoy the cut scene. When it's over, pick
up the lottery ticket.
From Theodore Rolodex:
This is a letter I found when Nathaniel
died :
"During the last meeting of the LCS, you offered me the chance
to rejoin MI 6. This offer is a great honor and I thank you
for it. Nevertheless, I have to decline it. We know each other
well enough, I think, for my decision not to come as much of
a surprise.(...) I hope the future will hold fewer dark hours
for us, and you can count on my respect and dedication."
Respectfully
yours,
Nathaniel Meister
The
Story
Frank is a brilliant painter who has a
big weakness. He adore sex more than his own works. Casanova
and Don Juan are his favorite idol. A complete romantic:
the perfect alliance between obsessive desire and the little
personal pain that one can caress at will. This led Mephisto
to propose him charm and seduction in exchange for his services
as a painter.
Frank's Studio
Q: Where should I begin?
A: Step
down to Frank's Studio and start to browse around all the items
there. Pictures on the wall, the diploma, and the note inside
the small box on the small table will provide you some information
on this guy. Climb down the spiral ladder to visit his lower
room. You'll see a big painting there.
Q:
What can I do with this painting ?
A: It's
actually a door to his bedroom. You need to find something to
pry it open. Go back up to the small table beside his drawing
table. Look at the pencils cup beside the small box. Pick up
the thin pencil and the compass needle. Use the thin pencil
on the painting below to pry it open. You'll see Frank's bedroom.
There
are several interesting objects that will tell you different
stories from time to time. They are the bed, the wine bottle,
the chair, and the two bookshelf beside the bed. Click on them
often to hear or view different stories.
Q:
What should I do with the small statue beside the bed?
A: You
need to put something on its head. Go back up and find a big
cabinet with a glass door on it. Push the right button twice
to open the door. Pick up the wig on the painting hand. Go back
down to the bedroom and put the wig on the statue's head. Now
turn the key on its side. It will open a small compartment on
the base of the statue. Pick up the small green key inside.
Q:
Where can I use the green key?
A: Look
at the mermaids statues on the corners of the bed. There are
four of them. If you look carefully on their bellies, you'll
see small red buttons. You need to push them in certain order.
Put the compass needle on the
compass at the base of the bed. Notice how the needle moves
from north to the left direction. Now push the button starting
from the north mermaid (no. 1) then go around to the left until
the last mermaid on the south east direction (no. 4). It will
lower the roof. Climb down the bed and insert the key on the
roof front. You'll see a painting inside. Watch the cut scene.
Notes:
There's an additional clue on this if
you open the roof of the bed above you. Step on the bed and
face up. Open the slide door on the bed roof. You'll see a poem
written behind it.
The Diary of The Seducer
Q: What should I do now?
A: If
you look around the place again, each pictures on the wall,
the bed, wine bottle, chair, and the painting above the bed
will tell you different stories. The papers inside the small
box beside the drawing table will tell you about Frank's work:
Diary of the Seducer. It's time to find where he keep this diary.
Q:
Where is the diary?
A: The
entrance to the room where you could find the diary is hidden
inside his bedroom. There are two clues about the way to open
this entrance. Pick up the slides and the magnifying glass from
inside the small cabinet. Go toward the rolling desk (it's
below the main staircase). Turn the lamp switch on. You could
find this switch on the bottom left side of the desk. Put the
slides on the bright area then use the magnifying glass to analyze
the 2 rightmost pictures. Pay attention on that clock. The second
clue is directly on the top of the entrance itself. Go to the
bedroom and look closely at the strange mat on the floor. Here
are the 2 pictures that should give you a clue. Both are pointing
to 5:30. Go to the grandfather clock beside the drawing table.
Darn it's locked.
Q:
Where is the key to unlock the clock face?
A: Go
to the cabinet with a glass door again. Push the right button
twice to open the door. You'll find the key inside. Now open
the clock face and set the time to 5:30. When you close the
clock face, it will open the trap door in the bedroom. The entrance
is just below the mat. Go down to the darkroom. On the table
you'll find The Diary of The Seducer (the
Third Evidence)
along with a note in it. Pay attention with one special name
with key symbol to the right of it. Read the note.
Q:
What should I do now?
A: Look
at one of the photo above the desk. It will give you the next
clue: "If you're searching for the cause of a desperate
act, find the dream that was trampled on."
Q:
What is Frank's dream?
A: To
be a successful man. Go back to the main room and look his diploma
on the wall (close to the cabinet with the glass door). Click
on the top left corner of the frame to pick it up. Go back down
to the dark room and walk to the small table beside the camera
(there's a red button on it). I call this table as table
A. This has the same function
with the table you use to see the slides above. Too bad the
light is broken.
Q:
Where could I find a light for this table?
A: If
you look closely to the diary earlier, you'll see a special
name with key symbol on the right side of it. That name has
index number 76. Now look at the collection of pictures in front
of the table. One of them has number 76 on it (look the image
below). Move it to reveal a hidden crevice behind the photo.
Take the bulbs.
Q:
Where should put the bulb?
A: Look
at the top of table A. You'll see a small door there.
Open it and insert the red bulb inside. Now put the the diploma
on table A and push the red button. You'll know an interesting
fact. Frank has tried to commit a suicide but failed. He's known
later on as the man with the mask......
The Tunnel
Q: How can I get out from this
place?
A: Appearance
and habit are the two things will deceit you. Don't look for
the obvious. If the door handle is on the right then ..... click
on the left side of the door.
Q:
How could I operate this strange device?
A: Open
the small box on the left wall. You'll see the exact imitation
of the device on the wall ... except it's a small one. Pull
the stick until it reach the leftmost edge of the gears. The
device will start working. Watch the cut scene...
From Theodore Rolodex:
I knew three Franks. There was the narcissistic
young man with adolescent crises who screamed "love me!" with
this imploring look which put off even the most generous women.
Then
there was the selfish and naive seducer who discovered one of
the most dangerous forms of power without anyone warning him
about how to use it.
As for the third Frank... (...)
The
Story
Kalinka, a Russian artist, is a very nice
person who is trying to help everybody. Hannibal is trying to
get her heart but she loves someone else. She loves a mysterious
man, whom we called The Phantom Lover. Lily and Jody are trying
to get rid off her because they want to take Hannibal's heart.
But our Park is not like others, a caricature of the best of
all worlds. No, the place is far more stimulating, and this
love affair could turn so easily into a total mess...
Q:
How can I go to the top of the stair?
A: Use
Homunculus with the stair. It will fly and pull the lever on
the top of the stair. Now you're be able to reach the top.
Q:
Where should I begin ?
A: Look
at the small pot on the table and the glass door. You'll see
how the story reveal. Jody and Lily will do anything to harm
Kalinka. Read the small note beside the door (to the right of
it from inside). Small tasks..... a feather for the twin, leather
strap for Hannibal, and a mask for Frank. The letter from Theodore
on the table also give you a small task: the fountain in the
garden is somehow broken. You need to help Kalinka to fix it
also. You could find out about her relatives if you look inside
her jewelry box upstairs in her bedroom. You'll find her jade
amulet there.
Note:
Notice whose symbol is it on the top of
the umbrella in the garden ??!!
Q:
Where is the feather?
A: It's
inside the small wooden box outside the house. Open the box
and pick up the feather. Now go back inside the house and head
to the back room where all the statues stand. Put the feather
on Jody and Lily statue. You'll hear them saying something
about a pearl and a set up for Kalinka. They're totally wicked.
Q:
Where could I find the leather strap?
A: Go
to the table in the main room. There are four different machines
available on this table: the sewing machine (on the front one,
facing the stair), the cutting machine (the rightmost machine
on the left side of the table, facing the window), the puncher
machine (to the left of cutting machine), and the strap machine
(to the left of pattern machine). There are two kinds of leather
available above the cutting machine. Choose the brown one (it's
a hard leather). After you cut it, use the strap machine to
create the leather strap. Put this strap on Hannibal statue
(beside the twin statue). You'll see the flashback on how Hannibal
threats Kalinka. She will talk about some leaves that resemble
different seasons.
Notes:
If you choose the soft leather, it will
be broken when you put it on Hannibal's statue.
The Mask of Frank
Q: Where could I find the mask?
A: You
won't find the mask anywhere around. You need to create one.
There's an instruction note on how to make a mask on the table.
It's beside the letter from Theodore. You'll need several items
before you could create the mask. Those are: respiration grille,
shoe laces, gauze, soft tissue, and the herb balm.
Q:
Where could I find the grille and the shoe laces?
A: Kalinka
keeps it inside the drawer below the stair.
Q:
Where could I find soft tissue and the gauze?
A: Look
inside the drawer in the bathroom (below the mirror).
Q:
Where could I find the herb balm?
A: It's
hidden in the Kalinka's secret
garden. Go to her room upstairs and go straight to her working
room. Look at her loom. You'll hear her said something about
a key and a secret garden.
Q:
Where is the key?
A: Look
closely to a small object on her loom. Open the folded paper
and you'll find a crescent shape key (the
Forth Evidence).
Get it. That's the key to the secret garden.
Q:
Where is the secret garden?
A: Go
downstairs and enter the room behind the curtain (below the
stairs). I'll call this room as the lab. You'll find a grandfather
clock there. Look on its face. Insert the key on the crescent
hole there. It will open the secret door.
Q:
Where is the balm? I don't see it anywhere ....
A: You
need to collect four different leaves from four different seasons.
Then you can use them to create the balm. In other word, you
need to travel back to the past. You could pick up the first
leaf on the table now.
Q:
How can I travel back to the past?
A: Use
the strange marks on the round table to do that travel. You
need to activate the device.
Q:
Which buttons should I push to activate this device?
A: If
you listen carefully to what Mephisto said in the cut scene
earlier, you'll learn that you have to find the invisible thing.
Go back to the lab and open the bottom cabinet below the apparatus
table. Pick up the flour there. Most of the time, if you want
to find the invisible thing, search it in the water because
water could make something invisible by covering it. Go to the
fountain and push the switch on the head to remove some parts
of the water. Pour the flour inside the water bowl and now you'll
see an image on the water. That's the combination for the device.
Push the buttons in order.
Q:
Which order of the season should I do?
A: It
doesn't matter which order you choose. The exit always on the
spring time. Push the season buttons and in each season pick
up the leaf on the table. You'll see how Kalinka's story unfold.
In the end you'll see a cut scene between Mephisto and Faust.
Mephisto will warn Faust to act quickly to fix the wrong things
before either Theodore or the twin arrives. You have about 15
minutes game time to fix it. You need to find the lost pearl.
Notes:
If you do the seasons after you find the
pearl you won't see the cut scene on Mephisto and Faust.
Q:
Where could I find this pearl ?
A: Jody
and Lily say something that Theodore will find this pearl easily
and by accidentally. Hmm... where could it be? Remember the
letter from Theodore on the desk..... He'll do a small task
for Kalinka but hasn't got any chance to do it. Maybe .. you'll
find it there. Go to the fountain in the garden. Too bad it's
broken. You need to fix it before you could find the pearl.
Q:
How could I fix this broken fountain ?
A: This
is easy. Look at the gears and remove the nail there. Now turn
the wheel to activate it. Look at the sand tray (next to the
gears). Yes .... You'll see the handkerchief with the pearl
necklace in it.
Q:
I got the leaves. How could I create the balm?
A: Go
back to the lab and look at the apparatus table. Pull out the
cork. Insert the leaves in the tube. Insert the cork back. Use
the matches to lit the burner below the tube. You need to do
it at least 2 times and wait for a while before the
fluid goes to the small jar on the right. Pick up the jar. You
got your balm now.
Q:
How can I create the mask?
A: Go
to the table in the main room. Pick up the soft leather and
cut it. Use the strap machine to form the mask. Then use the
puncher machine to create holes on it. Use the sewing machine
to sew the incomplete mask with holes. Insert the grille and
then the shoe laces on it. Pick up your incomplete mask. Now
go back to the lab and head to the apparatus table. Open the
press machine and insert the incomplete mask in it. Put the
gauze, herb balm, and finally the soft tissue. Your mask is
ready. Pick it up.
Q:
Where should I use this mask?
A: Use
it on Frank's statue. It's the one to the right of Hannibal
statue. Frank will tell you about the wedding ring. So... he's
the Phantom Lover
Q:
Where is the ring?
A: Go
to Kalinka's bedroom and head straight to her working chamber.
You'll see a traditional Russian building there. Lit the candle
with the matches. A small carriage toy will appear. While you
could see it, put out the candle (just click on its base). Now
look closely to the carriage and pick up the ring.
The Library
Q: What should I do here?
A: Take
the elevator to the library. Go to the second level and then
to the right bookshelf. Operate the ladder to view the special
row. You need to form a sentence by using the titles of the
books. The sentence is: "I, Theodore, lost hope in 1917
and signed a contract with Mephisto." Watch the cut
scene at the end of this episode.
From Theodore rolodex:
Kalinka Vissotsky one day became Kalinka
Barnes. Of all the stories that were played out in my park,
this is the loveliest. (...).
For
most people, it's a modern version of Beauty and the Beast.
Her story is not a fairy tale, even if the ending would make
a good lesson. (...)
Man needs simple chapter headings to tell history.
The
Story
Does this Hannibal intrigue you? I have
so vaunted his talents and his charm... How best to present
him to you? Let's say that he is like his two favorite little
pets, two tigers, and that his chief talent is using the whip.
I am being unfair, I forgot a few other qualities: a little
racist, a little violent, a little misogynous, and a good dose
of alcohol...
I exaggerate? Think what you will. Well, have a look, and admire
how I decided to grant him his deepest wish...
Q:
Where should I begin?
A: Step
into the tent and start to browse around all the items there.
There are a bunch of pictures on the wall. Each will tell you
about his opinion on his friends.
Q:
How could I solve the roulette puzzle ?
A: Look
at the instruction on the easel. It says: "19 0 black 7
red". Pick up the roulette cylinder on the grandfather
clock beside the easel. Put it on the roulette table. Now look
closely on it. Move the wheel until the diamond marker is in
the middle of red 19 (because there is no black 19 on the wheel)
and click the button. Move the wheel again until the marker
is in middle of the 0 (light blue background) and click the
button. Now you need to click both black and red 7. Move the
wheel again until the marker is in the middle of black 22 (you'll
see the black 7 below it) then click the button. Then move the
wheel until the red 7 shows and click the marker. Finally reset
the position so red 19 is on the marker and click the button
again. It will open a secret compartment on the table. Pick
up the reel and the whip (the Fifth
Evidence) . You need to access
this compartment from the left side of the table (facing the
exit).
Q:
Where can I play the reel?
A: The
player is inside the secret safe behind Hannibal's picture above
the bed. You need to find the key to open the safe.
Q:
Where is the key?
A: Open
the bar near the exit. You'll see three bottle on the top right
shelf. They have purple, black, and red caps. You need to click
the caps according to the clue on the easel again. Yup.... "19
0 Black 7 Red". Remember how you solve the roulette
puzzle? You need to click 19 one more time. Now, look at the
roulette table and see the color of those numbers. They are
red, light blue, black, red, and red. Make sure
when you click the caps, they go down. It will open the hidden
compartment. You'll see a cut scene that shows how Hannibal
bullies Tod the short guy. Pick up the key on bottom left shelf.
Move Hannibal's picture. Use the key to unlock the safe.
Q:
The player doesn't work. What should I do?
A: You
need to get some electric power to turn it on. Get the mouse
on the bed (facing the bed from the liquor cabinet's direction).
Look on the small table beside the bed. Pick up and connect
the wire on its place (you need to hold the mouse button while
picking the wire). Put the mouse inside the wheel. When it stops,
whips it with your whip. Go back to the safe and play the reel.
You'll see a clue on dealing with tiger: 1 whip for directional
jumping and 2 whips for random jumping.
Note:
Sometime you won't see the cut scene that
shows the mouse. In this case, you could also get the power
by turning the wheel with you own hand. You need to whip the
wheel to make it run.
Q:
What does the lever in the trunk do?
A: Go
to the corner near the exit (to the left it). Insert the lever
in its holder. Now push the lever. You'll see targets with pictures
on them.
Q:
How can I solve this lever puzzle?
A: Look
at the big mirror. You'll see the order of the pictures to be
whipped. Now go back again to the corner and pull the lever.
Use your whip on the targets. Ignore the third target. You'll
end up in front of Merry-Go-Round.
Q:
What should I do with this attraction?
A: Go
inside the booth and you'll find panel with two slots on it.
One is occupied and the other is empty. If you turn the lever
then the Merry-Go-Round will start to move but it will stop
at some point. You need something to fill the second slot so
that the attraction will keep on moving.
Q:
Where could I find the item to fill the second slot?
A: Go
to starting point and turn right. Examine closely the horse
with orange circle above it. Look at the image above. Pick up
the ring on its mouth. Use this ring to connect the plus and
minus terminal on the second slot. It will open a secret door
on the middle of the Merry-Go-Round. Climb down and you'll arrive
in an underground cage. You'll find the Lily's necklace on the
skull. My God, Jody fed the tiger with her sister's meat. She's
truly an evil. After the cut scene you'll end up inside the
tiger's cage.
Q:
What should I do with the tigers?
A: You
need to make them both sitting on the middle podium. There're
lots of way to make them sit on the middle podium. Use the combination
of double whips and single whip. You'll see the podium goes
down if you do it right. The easiest way is to make both tiger
stand on each corner first.
Q:
What should I find below?
A: You'll
find the another piece of agreement between Mephisto and Hannibal.
It's written on a piece of paper on Lily's skeleton. You'll
be back to the amusement park one more time. Go to the counter
and pick up the lottery ticket. Enter the cinema.
Q:
What should I do here?
A: Pick
up the reel on the shelf and play it. Get out from the room
and face the ultimate truth on Hannibal...... That's what happen
to the bullies ....... What goes around comes around.
From Theodore Rolodex:
I had no illusions when I took Hannibal
on. I would even say that his clumsy pleading amused me. He
promised he would change, that he wouldn't be so violent again.
(...)
The vet told me the tiger had died of a broken heart, caused
by his master's disappearance. It's a bit difficult to believe
but I like that story. Unfortunately, I don't think that the
pain Hannibal caused human beings all his life can be forgiven
by his love for a tiger.
The
Story
After a small scale Don Juan, you are
expecting the worst, and you are wrong. There is Tod. A dwarf
law enforcer at the service of orphans. Our law enforcer learnt
his lessons during prohibition in the ranks of the "Family",
alongside Frank Nitty, another acquaintance.
Money
has no smell, not even that of alcohol. If this money serves
to help young orphans. It will almost make me cry.... Yeah,
rumor said that Tod use the orphans to produce alcohol. You
need to judge by yourself if he's a Robin Hood or just another
pathetic man that has a chance to control someone.
The
Caravan
Q: How can I enter Tod's small caravan?
A: This
one is a little bit tricky. Face the strength meter. Try to
hit the target. Hmm... doesn't work. Try to kick it .... doesn't
work either. Ok .. you ask for it. Use your sidekick, Homunculus.
Maybe he has better luck. Hey .. that's not fair, he just turn
the arrow around. The caravan door will open.
Q:
I'm not quick enough. It's closed before I reach it. What can
I do ?
A: Send
your sidekick one more time to the door. He'll block the door.
Now you could enter the caravan.
Q:
What should I find here?
A: Search
the drawers to get the Ring and the St. Christopher medallion
(the Sixth Evidence).
Read the newspaper in the second drawer, look at the poster
on the wall, turn the faucet (hmmm.... liquor.. why is this
liquor doesn't flow fluently?), and the small box beside the
fireplace. Those will explain who Tod really is.
Q:
Where he keep all of his booze?
A: There's
a secret room below the caravan. The entrance is located under
the bed. Operate the bike then look closely on the rear wheel.
Click on the rear wheel to fix it then ride the bike one more
time. It will lift the bed. You'll see a door with combination
lock on it.
Q:
What is the combination number?
A: Pay
attention on the poster of the wall, especially when he tells
you about his special birthday. November 1, 1893. Use his birthday
to unlock the door. It is 11193. Climb down to ......
The Underground Booze Factory
Q: What should I do here?
A: You'll
see one big heater where he made the whiskey, two boxes of empty
beer bottles, a well, and the kegs on the left wall. Move the
taps on the middle left keg and put it on the bottom middle
keg. Click on the tap. It will open another secret door to the
bedroom. Crawl in.
Q:
Whose bedroom is this?
A: Pick
up the bat on the floor to your left, look at the dishes on
the right, and go straight to the bathroom. Look at the mirror.
You'll see a reflection of Tod. Open the medical cabinet there
and examine the medicine bottle. Those will explain how he used
the children but still protecting them. A phone will ring ....
Q:
Where is the phone?
A: It's
in the bedroom. Move to the aisle between the right bunk beds
from the bathroom's direction. You'll see a phone on the wall.
Pick it up. It's Frank Nitty, the gangster. He wants to set
a deal with you. Crawl back to the cellar. Mephisto will play
his game again with you ... He changes you into Tod ...Go straight
up to the caravan. Frank (or we could say Mephisto) is waiting
for you. He wants a drink.
Note:
Actually the only this you need to do
is to lock at the medical cabinet and the medicine bottle. This
will trigger the phone even though you didn't do the other things
inside the bedroom and the bathroom.
Frank Nitty
Q: Where can I get the drink?
A: Don't
worry about this one. Even if you couldn't make it on time,
you'll get a second try. You need to produce the whiskey. But
first, you need to make the heater works.
Q:
How can I start the heater?
A: Pick
up the wooden log from the fireplace. If the wooden log not
there, use the ring on the ornament above the fireplace. It
will raise up the logs pile. Go back to the cellar and pick
up the old newspaper in the bucket on the floor. Put these wooden
log and the old newspaper in the bottom tray of the heater.
You'll use them as a feeder. Now go around the well and pick
up the small bucket. Fill it up with the booze from the kegs
through the top tray. This is your gasoline. Then lit the log
and the newspaper with your matches.
Note:
You can just simply use the bottle to
get the gasoline and forget about the bucket. There's another
way to lift the log piles up beside using the ring. There's
a red button down here (behind the well) that will move the
log piles to and from the fireplace.
Q:
How can I get the drink?
A: Pick
up the empty bottle beer from the box. Go back up the caravan.
Turn the faucet. Now the beer flow normally. Use the bottle
to get the whiskey. Fill the glass on the table with the whiskey
bottle. Be ready to play poker....
Q:
How many times should I beat him in the poker game?
A: You
only need to beat him twice. Believe me, it's not hard to do
that... Watch the story unfold .....
From Theodore Rolodex:
By way of notes on Tod, I have decided
to leave this draft letter found among his
papers after his death.
"Dear Mr. Ness, (...)
I know that my business is not very popular in this new America.
Mr. Mac Carthy and his cronies would certainly label me a Communist.
It's a new sickness that I am too old to suffer from and too
close to death to fear. (...)
I leave you to judge the price of a dwarf's gratitude. With
a friend's best wishes, Tod Von Essenbeck, last of his name.
"
The
Story
Giselle is this obese young girl, encumbered by her body, whom
you meet in the street and who moves you, after all let's be
honest, who arouses pity in you. Mephisto has become her Guardian
Angel in a special way. He protects her from all of those people
who have look down on her. Again.... there's no such thing of
free gift after all .....
Giselle's Story
Q: Where should I begin?
A: Step
into the house directly. You could look to all of those pictures
on the board. It will tell you about the freaks in these amusement
park. You need to find a secret door to her room.
Q:
Where is the secret door ?
A: It's her
bathtub. Look at Giselle's poster for the clue. Pay attention
to her weight. Look closely on the bathtub. You'll find a key.
Use the key to unlock the panel above the bathtub (on the wall).
You'll see a gear inside. Turn it so the meter point at 550.
The bathtub will go down with you.
Notes:
You'll see several items to help you understand
her character. There are several photos on the desk, the bed,
the radio (there are 3 channels that you could listen to), and
also the newspaper in the drawer. You could hear her parents
voice through channel 1914.
Q:
Where is the key to unlock the fridge?
A: The
key is with her dolls. You could find the doll on the shelf
above the bed. Look at her pocket, you'll find the key there.
You'll find a frozen letter inside the freezer.
Q:
How can I read the letter?
A: Use
the stove to melt the ice. Put the frozen paper inside the pan.
Turn on the stove and lit it with your matches. You'll find
out that Mephisto has made an agreement with her and given her
the magic spoon (The Seventh
Evidence).
Q:
Where is the magic spoon?
A: Search
the pillow on the bed. You'll find the spoon there. Open the
fridge and use it on the empty space below the freezer. You'll
see a dream food there.
Q:
I see a hook above the fridge. What it is used for?
A: You
need to lift the fridge to reveal a hidden passage behind it.
Q:
How can I lift the fridge?
A: You
need a help from a toy. Above the hook, you'll see a rail that
goes to a some kind of device on the other end. This device
has a crank. You need to somehow connect the hook to the rail
and turn the crank to lift it. There's a chain hidden in the
fridge.
Q:
Where is the chain?
A: Pick
up the small boxes beside the doll where you found the key.
You need to rearrange the boxes on a shelf below the bottles
in the fridge. This shelf is on the inner side of the fridge
door. Look at the picture below to help you. Don't be fool with
the colors. Check the labels and match them. This act will give
you an access to the small compartment above the bottle. You'll
find a chain inside. Connect the hook with the rail by using
the chain.
Q:
I can't turn the crank. It's jammed. What should I do?
A: Get
the teddy bear beside the bed (on the floor). Put it on the
crank and turn its key (you could see it on its back) to move
it. It will lift the fridge and reveal a hidden passage behind
it.
Q:
Which path should I take?
A: It
doesn't matter which path you took. You'll end up in Frank's
secret hideout (remember the man with the mask?). Yes, Frank
tried to burn himself in episode 3 but he failed.
Frank, The Man with The Mask
Q: What does Frank do here?
A: Look
behind one of the pictures on the right wall. You will find
a torn newspaper about the stolen painting. Frank is trying
to make a fake imitation of the painting. Remember on what he
said about his greatest work.
Q: Where is his work?
A: It's
hidden in a small compartment on the small box on the table.
Open the compartment and pick up the torn paper.
Q: What does this paper looks like?
A: Look
at this picture below to help you. From top to bottom left to
right in pairs: Piece one and four, Piece two and five, then
Piece six and three. Read the paper.
You'll
end up standing in front of Mephistopheles. Faust turn out to
be Angelito, the guardian angel. Walk to the Ferris Wheel after
the conversation.
The Final Choice
Q: How could I solve this postcard puzzle?
A: Get
the postcards on the booth. Put them on the booth table. Arrange
it from left to right according to the order of the episode:
Love Island, The Great Inventor, Visit Us, The Enchanted
Island, Great Attractions!, Bootlegging and The Bath of Giselle.
Q: What should I do with the contract?
A: I
leave the decision to you. It's up to you whether you want to
change the theme park or leave it like it used to be. If you
want to change Dream Land then put the pen on the lawyer's empty
hand. If you want the keep it the way it is, sign the contract
with your pen. Both choices will lead to totally different ending.....
From Theodore Rolodex:
Her apartment stunk of misery and she
was fed with gruel. They treated her like an animal for two
whole years. I think that without Tod's support and affection,
she wouldn't have survived that time.
Then
we worked out her number together and that's when she had the
idea for the bathtub and the soap juggling.. I pointed out that
she was a real artist. She said to me, "Since I was 15, people
have treated me like a Martian, so I'm obviously used to having
an audience."
When
she died, she was no longer the little girl who I so pitied
but a resolute, confident (...) woman.
