Collide went on to become their best-selling project to date, with over 200,000 units sold, while the band played some 200 dates a year - including tours with the likes of Saliva, Shinedown and Finger Eleven, Three Days Grace - in the process becoming one of the hardest working, heaviest rocking, and most broadly appealing acts of its generation

They are classfied as Christian rock because of their earlier albums. Yeah, those albums where they still had a unique sound, before they were "black viking metal" (that IS a hilarious tag, by the way). Definitely check out Alien Youth (2001) and Invincible (2000), as they show a Skillet at their incredible peak. That peak successfully crosses genres to harder rock (versus alternative rock) with Collide (2004), but Comatose (2007) shows a Skillet that's starting to come down from their glorious high point of the early 00s.
